They’re breaking our heart! Last month at Junior Eurovision 2015 in Sofia, Arianna Ulivi from the Peppermints revealed to wiwibloggs that three members of the group have now left to pursue other opportunities (as you probably remember, Sara recently made a run for Sanremo and Greta made a public announcement that she is super busy with school). This leaves Arianna and Anita Simoncini — San Marino’s Eurovision 2015 singer — standing on their own. Sad faces all around.
But it’s not over for the group just yet. The Peppermints plan to add some new candy to the mix, following in the footsteps of groups with rotating members like Destiny’s Child and the Sugababes. Arianna told us that the band’s producer is looking for three new members. She seemed positive about the change too, promising many “projects and surprises” from the group in the future. She also filled us in on her role as San Marino’s spokesperson for the 2015 Junior Eurovision final.
quelle drama for the spice girls of san marino. Sad day for the planet.
No shade, but isn’t one if the Sugarbabes Jadr Edwen UK Eurovision 2009.
And that was almost Rita Ora. Yikes!
No shade, but isn’t a Eurovision participant one of the Sugarbabes? Jade Edwen 2009 UK?
WAIT- Arianna’s over 15 and she still was able to be the spokesperson for San Marino in JESC 2015 (a la Michele Perniola)? San Marino must really have a niche for sending spokespeople over/ under the age requirement for contestants themselves.
Why Anita, Arianna and Valentina (Monetta) don’t representing San Marino as a trio at Stockholm?
Anyway, I really want to Mrs. Monetta returning for the fourth time. Really missed her though.
maybe adding a few new members and changing up their style to a more grown image, then maybe i can see them in Eurovision 2016
three new ones = elvis presley invasion of the 2010s.
break up.
Ari and Anita really need to change their minds. The Peppermints can’t go down to two (2) members! I’m a big fan of them 🙁
I love the Peppermints! I say continue as a duo — forget the others!
