Nevena Bozovic has left us all a Christmas present! The Serbian pop star has just released her new single “Cujem da Dolazis u Grad” (or “I hear you coming to town” in English). Try saying that three times fast when you’re drunk. With this new single Nevena has moved even further away from the bubble gum pop of Moje 3 and towards a typically Balkan sound. You can be the judge of what suits her best.

In the simple ballad, Nevena waits for an old flame to come home, and of course he never arrives. Boo! The video attempts to tell that story, though at times it isn’t 100% fluent. Nevena mirrors a tour guide (and hopeless romantic), sauntering around Belgrade at night and singing in front of, errm, a wall of leaves.

It’s commendable that Nevena attempts to film an atmospheric music video on a bridge, and she deserves even bigger applause for making leather pants classy. Sadly the video loses its magic when the “Ušce Shopping Center” makes a short cameo in the background. Whether you like the new offering or not, we can strongly recommend you stay far away from leather flatcaps.
