The wait is over. On January 23 A Dal 2016 — Hungary’s national selection for Eurovision — kicks off with its first heat. There are plenty of big names contending for the title. Kállay-Saunders — he of Eurovision 2014 fame — is back with his new band. As are plenty of A Dal veterans, including Passed, ÍV, Bálint Gájer, and Karmapolis. Wiwivision heartthrob Gábor Alfréd Fehérvári (aka Freddie) is in the field too.

It’s an impressive list of names, but does anyone have a song that can take Hungary to the top? You can listen to all of this year’s competing entries below. It’s a heady mix of old school sounds, new world EDM, dub step, rock and more, so we promise you won’t get bored. Though at times you may get emotional and angry.

After listening to all of the entries be sure to vote in our poll. You can vote for as many acts as you like, but you can only submit your votes ONE time, so make it count. It’s up to you, Europe! Start voting now!

Mushu would bring something different to the contest, I am hoping they win.
If not, Kallay Saunders Band is the strongest and would give Hungary the best chance of a good placing.

Seven Seas and Come Along stand above the others, including the always overrated Kallay Saunders band.

Last year had a better overall standard but the best songs are better this year
My Top 5:
1: Freddie – Pioneer
2: Reni Tolvai – Fire
3: Passed – Drifitin’
4: Anna Patai – Colours
5: Kallay Saunders Band – Who We Are

Really hope Hungary makes the right choice and select Freddie!

the fact that Passed features so low with roughly 22 votes, it’s an insult.

Interesting how eight out of my personal top 10 songs appear in the top 10 of the votes so far!! 🙂
I think I agree with most of the listeners. This is a strong year for A Dal, and it puts other country’s selections to shame (like the UK). May the best song win. x

I think the winner will be Kallay Saunders or Freddie, and, in my opinion, both of them could make the top 10

For me most interesting song Gergo Oláh – Gyoz a jó . This song wili be interesting for juries and viewers, other song is A Dal is so western like sound from USA, UK.

Idk why, but freddie’s song, especially the refrain, reminds me a little bit (maybe more than a little bit) of “Blame” of Calvin Harris. I like it but my absolute favourite is Petruska! His song is so much fun! I’m in love with it! <3<3<3 I will be mad if "Trouble in my mind" doesn't passed to the finals.
Hungary, choose it and you will get my vote. I promised!

surely who we are is the best song by miles to be honest, if they send kallay saunders again hungary will be back in to the top 10 at least without a doubt.

btw none of these are ‘bad’ per se except Andre Vasary and the Uncle Tom song
it’s a very lukewarm year for a dal

I’m going to be waaaay off of popular opinion but kinek sirjam is definitely my favorite of the bunch
rap suits hungarian better than any other language really
imo pioneer is slightly preachy (I don’t like the guy’s voice either) and the only reason everyone’s going for kallay-saunders is because he already represented hungary

This is honestly a really weak year. I guess my favourites would be Passed and Karmapolis & Böbe Szécsi, but I know for sure Passed is gonna bomb live.

Very high standard. Hungary should easily get top 10 with a few of those. Who we are and Pioneer do stand out but I also like you told me that you loved me, very catchy and different. Good luck Hungary, much better effort than Boggie this year.

As much as I love Iv, her song this year isn’t fantastic – Fire was way better. My vote goes to Kallay-Saunders, it’s probably the most memorable of the bunch.

Freddie, definitely. He has the voice, charisma, lyrics, and just about everything needed to become a potential winner.

I hope they will choose “Who We Are” because it’s the most catchy and rememberable song of A Dal, and it has potential to be in top 10 in Stockholm.
Great band and best song!

Good stuff from Hungary this year… Trouble In My Mind, Pioneer or Uncle Tom, any one of those should go on to Stockholm.

Weak lineup I must say, however one songs stand out above the rest by margin; “Who We Are”. It’s modern, catchy and has a great production behind it. I predict not only the win for A Dal, but a new top 5 finish for Kallay-Saunders and Hungary in Stockholm.

Many good songs but the real stand out song in my opinion comes from freddie. That song can win the whole thing and maybe even become a hit across all europe!????
