More than a year of releasing their last single “Ukhodi” (Go Away), Russia’s Tolmachevy Sisters are back on track with a new song called “Serdce Moyo”(My Heart). These are not the sugary sweet girls of “Shine” — these are women who know a thing or two about love and when it’s time to call it quits. As they sing: “I’m so tired of the ocean of your lies!” Swim, don’t sink…
The sisters definitely ended 2015 right. They made several appearances on Russian TV, at fashion shows, and at a series of concerts. They also released some great material. In case you missed it, Anastasiya Tolmachevy recently collaborated with a Russian rap star Arnilove on the single “S toboy”(With You). That track is truly dope, but we simply cannot imagine the Tomlachevy Sisters releasing songs separately! Always Evolving
Since Eurovision 2014 their style of music has changed a lot — they only sing in Russian now, they have more mature voices, and they’re no longer afraid to explore catchy sounds and edgy rhythms. Nevertheless, the main theme of their songs remains the same — love. But the love they experience is rather unfortunate. In “Ukhodi” they have this to say: “Go away and don’t look for me in the Moscow night, there’s no place for our love in this crazy love…”
Thankfully fiction does not mirror reality. Anastasiya is happily in love, as evidenced by her countless selfies with her boyfriend on Instagram.
