Back in December we asked you who should represent Belarus at Eurovision 2016. Y’all have voted in your hundreds, and now it’s time to reveal your winner — Alexander Ivanov with “How To Fly”. The long-haired rocker emerges victorious with a grand total of 378 votes. That’s almost 30% of the 1,271 votes cast, and 162 more than his nearest rival.
He may have topped the poll, but the Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of musical unprofessionals — was unimpressed, ranking him a lowly seventh out of ten. One juror compared his entry to “fingernails running down a blackboard”. But it wasn’t all bad, another noted that “Alexander comes across as an experienced performer with good stage presence”.

The Wiwi Jury’s favourite Kirill Yermakov finished second with “Running To The Sun”. He earned 216 votes, or around 17% of all votes cast. “He seems to be a confident and energetic performer and the modern pop sound stands out” wrote one juror.

NAPOLI takes third place with “My Universe”, one place higher than in the Wiwi Jury ranking.
