Last year’s runner up Valeria Pasa, as well as Diana Brescan, DoReDos, and Moldova’s very own Sanna Nielsen, Doinita Gherman, are among the 24 acts that survived the live auditions in front of the Moldovan jury. Before they compete in the semi-finals on 23 and 25 February, however, they face an even greater hurdle: surviving the Wiwi Jury.
All this month, our in-house panel of music unprofessionals is offering its frank opinion of each of the songs. Each juror assigns each song a score from zero to ten, and the scores are then averaged for the Wiwi Jury verdict. Our jurors hail from Spain, Austria, Australia, the United States, Romania, Portugal, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Italy, Iceland and New Zealand — so we are totally international and transcontinental, y’all!
