Cypriot rockers Minus One have revealed the title of their song for Stockholm. It is called “Alter Ego”, and will be released on February 22. The group made the announcement today on social media.

“Alter Ego” is a Latin term, but for those of us who are a little rusty with our Latin, the band have conveniently provided a definition. An alter ego is “a person’s alternative personality”, which suggests we’ll be seeing another side to Minus One in Stockholm.
Minus One were internally selected by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation. They had previously competed in the national selection in 2015, where their song “Shine” won the jury vote but placed third overall.
The band have been busy co-writing with Swedish songwriter and producer Thomas G:Son, the man behind Loreen’s “Euphoria”, and who last year contributed to “Amanecer” and Georgia’s “Warrior”. Minus One recently travelled to Sweden to work on their entry with G:Son.
And it won’t be long before we’ll get to hear the fruit of their labour. “Alter Ego” will be released on February 22, and Wiwibloggs will have full coverage.
Ok. Spanish will vote for You and Ucrania.Good lock Cyprus.
Sounds interesting. Let’s hope the song, the music video and the stage performance are as interesting as the title.
Hmm, upon first impression of the posted pic, their “alto ego” seems to be a street thug look. Will the song match that?? 😀
frontman is so hot 😀
That title sounds really promising.
Their Eurovision Project song ”Shine” was really mediocre for me, but I can see stuff changing really fast here. Looking forward until February 22nd 😀
Very promising title.. In 22 we’ll have a complete opinion of the overall song.
22 more days to wait?!
Good title, although that doesn’t mean anything of course.
The title sounds interesting, looking foward to hear Cyprus this year !
Dayum, that sounds interesting!
I liked their original style so hope it’s just the song name or if different, not too much so.
Lets hope for something good.
