Sanremo 2016: Annalisa and Dolcenera among confirmed finalists

We’re getting closer to finding out Italy’s successor to Il Volo, and it was back to business on the penultimate night of Sanremo 2016 as we’ve reached the semi-final. All 20 Campioni artists performed their competing entries and several hours later, we have our Sanremo 2016 finalists.

Tonight’s combined results consisted of televoting (40%), a demoscopic poll (30%) and the expert jury (30%). These were then added to the combined televoting and press jury results from the first and second evenings. Once they were all counted and verified, the artists were announced in a random order.

Lorenzo Fragola – “Infinite volte”
Dolcenera – “Ora o mai più (le cose cambiano)”
Clementino – “Quando sono lontano”

With their hopes left hanging in the balance, the remaining 5 artists all ended up on the Repechage round. Only the televoting public had their say on who should join the 15 finalists. However, we won’t know who will be the lucky artist as the results are announced during the final night.
