Last Saturday, Iceland chose the last three acts for the Söngvakeppni 2016 final on 20 February. Amongst them is the relative new-comer Alda Dís with her song “Augnablik” or “Now”, as it will be called in English.

Following her semi-final performance in Háskólabíó, the wiwibloggs team barged into the green room for a chat. We were also joined by Alma, one of the “Augnablik” composers.

Alda Dís Interview

Alda is ready for the show, and she and Alma are promising a bigger act, bigger dress and maybe even bigger hair. Although Alda might not have all the stage experience in the world, she is the winner of Ísland Got Talent. She says that the experience she gained there is a huge asset. She’s cool and collected, and now the main focus is to perfect the English version of the song before the final. And of course to do her very best.
