Irina Popa, a semi-finalist in Romania’s Selectia Nationala 2016, has announced that she will replace her Romanian-language track “Lasa-ma, eu te las” with its English-language version “Letting Go”. For fans of the Romanian language, the new title seems rather fitting.
Irina, who won Romania’s national singing competition Festivalul Mamaia in 2008, has decided to switch the language following positive feedback from fans who heard a live acoustic performance of the English version on the radio.

I like it. I know it’s a shame to replace a song into English just for popularity. But I like it.
