Today Semi-Final 3 of Melodifestivalen 2016 takes place in beautiful Norrköping. Two artists will advance to the March 12 final and another two other artists will stay alive in the competition and be sent to andra chansen for their second chance. On Thursday we got our first taste of this week’s songs and stage shows. If you missed it, you can see still watch the rehearsal clips and read our reviews.
After digesting all that fabulous, we asked you which act had the best first rehearsal. After counting a total of 614 votes, we can now reveal that Oscar Zia has come out on top. Oscar, who is making his third appearance at Melodifestivalen, is the clear favourite to win the third heat with “Human“. He earned 47.56% of the vote. We spoke with Oscar earlier this week. After watching, we’re pretty sure you’ll want him to win. He’s such a sweetheart.

This week seems to be all about the youngsters, as joining 19-year-old Oscar in the final would be 17-year-old Lisa Ajax, according to our readers. Lisa received 17.1% of the vote. She has a star-studded team behind her and her Melodifestivalen entry “My Heart Wants Me Dead.” It includes the same composers responsible for Måns Zelmerlöw’s “Heroes”, American singer-songwriter Nikki Flores and Finnish Youtuber Sara “SAARA” Forsberg.
Two Melodifestivalen debutants finished in third and fourth position and will be heading to andra chansen, according to our readers. They are Swedish-Tanzanian SaRaha with “Kizunguzungu” and professional soccer player Boris Réne with “Put Your Love on Me”.
If our readers have it right, then Melodifestivalen 2011 finalist Swingfly and his sidekick Helena Gutarra, SMILO and drag act After Dark will all wave goodbye on Saturday.
