After a false start in 2015, Edyta Górniak thrilled fans across Poland and all of Europe, when she announced she would try to represent her country at Eurovision 2016. Whilst she faces stiff competition from the likes of Margaret and Michal Szpak at Krajowe Eliminacje, her song “Grateful” soars in only a way you’d expect from Edyta. Her fans have responded wonderfully after it was first debuted at one of her live concerts, ahead of the final on March 5th.

You can read the Grateful lyrics below:

Grateful lyrics — Edyta Górniak

Since I can recall, music was a light in the dark
The rustle of the trees lit a spark inside my heart

Breathing life through the earth
I was so captivated, my soul was bare

Feeling, knowing, that there is something around me
That is bigger, wider, than I could ever imagine
I’m so grateful, for the beauty and joy life has given me
I hope, I have given too

I have tasted bitter tears, tripped and fell upon this road
But facing my fears made me stronger, life has shown

Learning from my mistakes, I have discovered that life
gives more than it takes

Feeling, knowing, that there is something around me
That is bigger, wider, than I could ever imagine
I’m so grateful, for the beauty and joy life has given me
I hope, I have given too

Angels sing, and I smile inside…

Feeling, knowing, that there is something around me
That is bigger and wider, than I could ever imagine
I’m so grateful, for the beauty and joy life has given me
I hope, I have
Given too…
