Bosnia & Herzegovina’s reign has been a brief one. Just one week after they stormed to the top, they’ve already been overthrown. And Ireland is your number one once more. Of the 16,967 votes cast since Monday 7 March2,182 or 12.86% of all votes cast went Nicky Byrne’s way. There’s no sign of “Sunlight” setting any time soon.

Nicky Byrne “Sunlight”

Russia goes straight in at two. Sergey Lazarev polled an impressive 1,556 votes or 9.17% of all votes cast. This gives “You Are The Only One” the strongest debut since Spain’s Barei.

Speaking of whom, following last week’s low of fourth, the “Say Yay!” singer climbs up to third. She received 1,445 votes or 8.52% of all votes cast.

Spain: Barei “Say Yay!”

Ukraine’s Jamala re-enters the top five, rising two places to four. “1944” picked up 988 votes or 5.82% of all votes cast.

Jamala “1944”

Iceland’s Greta Salóme drops two spots to five. She earned 893 votes or 5.26% of all votes cast.

Elsewhere, last week’s poll winners Bosnia & Herzegovina fall to tenth. Of the remaining newcomers, France fared best, landing at six. While Armenia, Estonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and FYR Macedonia all managed to make it into the top 20. Montenegro takes over from Georgia at the very bottom of the table, securing just 44 votes.

As always, the slate will be wiped clean when we relaunch the poll one last time on Saturday 12 March. Our current 33 will be joined by songs from Croatia, San Marino, Greece, Australia, Serbia, Sweden and Lithuania.

My dutch vote goes to Australia, Ireland and Russia. I really like those songs! They remind me of previous years and previous winners. I don’t like our own song, but that’s okay. The best song has the right to win and that’s just not our Douwe Bob 😉

Oh no, Israel won’t make it into the final.

I live in israel and I cry in the semi final every night that israel didn’t make it through.

Please people, Vote for Israel, I really wish Israel was more popular this year.

I’m going to be crying again tonight.

How much of a jump would Ira Losco make if she ditches “Chameleon” for “Haunted By Love”. It sounds pretty good.

No. 1 troll of this poll… the winner is… Ireland.
I miss the lengthy debates between Azerbaijan and Armenia fans.

A very unscientific, unreliable poll. I’d pay closer attention to youtube views/likes and betting odds. Ireland my be lucky to qualify to the final, given what I’ve seen and heard.

My top three seems to be everyone else’s bottom three. Well then. Doesn’t bode well for a good final for me!

Haha. This will flop at ESC. Btw, when it’s reopened with on the 12th for ‘one final time’ where is Azerbaijan? By one final time do you mean without a full list of participants, because it’s kind of bad if Azerbaijan isn’t included haha. Not expecting anything thrilling from them though.

Seems like you’re a intelligent person, but your opinion is so wrong. I’ve never said that to anybody, but most of your comments are complete non sense. There is not just one right, it differs from opinions.

Bleh.. not a single song from this years ESC gets me invested. I had like 7 songs I REALLY liked and like another 10 songs I enjoyed from last year. This year I can barely give you the names of 8 songs I like…

I’d love a video editorial from the Wiwi staff (William, Deban and Padraig) commenting on the low quality of this year’s entries. I hope they don’t consider this as detrimental to their business. I expect them to disagree with this, so it’ll be a good chance to argue against what seems an outcry from a significant number of the fanbase.

There is only one right, only one truth. Reality is hard and good entry for ESC also must be hard. Every rational person knows it.

Come on, Wiwibloggs. It is time to just remove the Irish options from these polls. You must get finger cramps whenever you have to type the words “Nicky Byrne is your favourite….”

Entries like Anja Nissen “Never Alone”, Samir & Viktor “Bada Nakna” and Alexey Gross “Flame” always were the best in the ESC. Now we will have not even one entry in this style. ESC is ruined. The winner of ESC 2016 will be Aminata, but not necessarily from Latvia.

Of course he won’t win, not even he thinks that. However, I do think he has a good chance of qualifying. He improved a lot in just a week from his 1st live performance judging by the that Ukranian final so I think he will do alright in May.
