Sweden‘s Melodifestivalen 2016 wrapped up last night in Stockholm and the always charming Oscar Zia tore it up. After flying under the radar until his semi-final a few weeks ago, Oscar emerged as a favourite ahead of the final — and he delivered. He managed to win with the international juries and placed third with the Swedish public. It all added up to a second place finish overall.
The “Human” singer was understandably stoked moments after the final, telling wiwiblogger Angus that he “couldn’t have done anything better” and he was “very, very happy and loved every second of the performance.”
Oscar also told us that he felt far more comfortable and relaxed in his final performance than he did during the semi-finals. That confidence surely resonated with audiences in Sweden and all over the world.
What’s next for Oscar? “I plan on touring this summer, but new music might have to wait.”
