Iveta Mukuchyan was internally selected to represent Armenia at Eurovision 2016 with her entry “LoveWave”. By Eurovision standards, the song is a bold avant-garde electronic statement, with Iveta singing the praises of someone who is her “lovewave”. As the song lyrics say, “You shook my life like an earthquake now I’m waking up”.
The song opens with a spoken word section, that starts with Iveta murmuring, “Hey, it’s me”. She soon begins singing, and the song erupts in a giant sonic wave, with Iveta declaring, “It’s taking over me!”
The lovewave is empowering Iveta, making her a strong warrior of love: “Gave me faith now I can break every single wall”. But will the lovewave give Armenia the strength needed to again qualify for the grand final?
