If you thought it was the heavy production that gave Barei’s “Say Yay!” life, then you’re in for a real shock.
On Tuesday Spain’s Eurovision 2016 singer performed an acoustic version of “Say Yay!” — and she totally smashed it.
The Spaniard combined her natural energy with a laidback acoustic guitar and the result was fantastic.
Take a look, have a listen and great ready to say yay.
Barei: The “Say Yay” acoustic

The Spanish starlet performed at Likes, a YouTube program from channel #0.
Asked about social media, she said that she’s ready for her Twitter to be set alight during Eurovision.
Despite her very active presence on Twitter, she says she is unable to read everything as she is inundated with messages round the clock.
Barei clarified the recent tittle-tattle that she fired her choreographer, explaining that they decided to stop collaborating because he is German and it’s difficult to discuss and perfect choreography via Skype calls from Madrid to Berlin.
She now has a Spanish choreographer and is rehearsing her moves on home soil.
The Spanish candidate also spoke about Belarus’ IVAN and his idea of singing naked in Stockholm.
She isn’t keen on that idea and, like so many of us, worries the wolf might eat IVAN’s chorizo.
Are you feeling Barei in acoustic? Do you Say Yay or Nay? Share your thoughts below!
Amazing!! She has a very good voice and live and made an upbeat song touching! We Spanish will be proud of her even she won’t get a good position because she is doing her best, you can see she is going to every pre-esc concert.
No. I’ll stick to the original version instead. It feels too awkward to listen to an upbeat song that has an acoustic version like What’s the Pressure. And Serhat’s original song sounds too awkward whereas its disco version is good.
@This is my opinion (TIMO) she was making a joke, telling that 2007 Urkaine’s song was her favorite. You are a little bit narrow minded…
I have to say that I really love this version and Barei’s song is growing a lot in me.
My top ONE is POLAND, I am sorry Spain.
I wouldn’t call it a “dark horse” as it’s #12 in the betting odds and one of the fan’s biggest favorites (top 5 in almost every youtube ranking)… it’s one of this year’s favorites, but well it’s Spain, and we all know what happens with this country, even with a super star like pastora soler they hardly arrive to the 100 points…
Enjoyed the acoustic version, although I still like the “full” version better.
I haven’t made my 1-43 list, yet but its definitely going to be towards the top of it. I really like the catchiness of it all.
She really can sing live. Her voice is very linked to Say Yay’s music style. Juvenile, fresh, self-assured. You can also tell she feels the song, that’s an advantage over those artists who sometimes expose a “credibility battle” against their own songs. BTW, this song it’s kinda puzzling. It’s not really for lazy minds, just the song itself. Not your standard eurovision song, not even an standard song should I say. It has some parts that are fully build for the tv show. I’m starting to make an own idea of where it goes staging wise. Probably I’ll be completely… Read more »
Love her! Go Barei!!!
?? 21st on VIRAL GLOBAL TRENDS LIST on SPOTIFY, VIRAL GLOBAL TREND LIST UK and VIRAL TREND LIST SWEEDEN. Yes, it has been hyped by the Spaniards and it’s really really overrated (LOL!)
Any doubt about Barei’s live?
Dark horse is here. SAY YAY!
ANY DOUBT ABOUT BAREI’S LIVE!!!????? LOL!!!! the Dark horse is here.
Pase lo que pase el 14 de Mayo…Ella tiene mucho merito, podra no gustar o si podra gustar pero que rompe con lo topico y tipico de Spain…pues si, lo hace, lo rompe
@Braniis Spanish music industry is a totally mess. One of the worst of West europe by far, we are so behind to the rest. Maybe we have luckily 2 or 3 national hits per year. Even “El mismo sol” for example was a hit before in Europe than here in Spain.
About Barei, she is doing some promotion here “say yay” is played on our most watched tv show but it’s not selling a lot and it’s not playing on the radio.
oh dear…this is so annoying…why? because she is so full of something that is rather nothing, extreme foolishness…in a clip in youtube she says spain gave Ukraine verka serduchka top votes in 2007 and therefore ask Ukraine for top votes for Spain now that is so pathetic to ask for favour in return for favour when countries have to cast their votes based on performance and songs but according to this spanish represenative she can have 12 points already from Ukraine etc… that is so rude unprofessional and disrespectful…If you are a represantative you should show some respect to all… Read more »
Love it
May I say my country was represented by this song, we’d be already anticipating another victory…
It shows to me Eurovision is a two-speed contest, where some countries get the benefit of the doubt, sure because they earned it
But others are just not really considered until they remove their old shadows on stage
AMAZING!!!!! In the beginning Barei was on my top10. After the revamp on my top5. And After watching her live voice she is close to be my personal winner!
Good performance. She makes the most out of the song. But is the song good enough? For me not.
Go Barei, go! Say yay!
How this girl was unknown in Spain just few months ago?
Spanish music industry seems to be in complete disorder…
Sorrt for another subject, but if Estonia want to win every year, let Stig Rästa write every Eesti Laul songs next year and so on
Nina Kraljic has done Lighthouse live, but only 10 sec with bad sound 🙁
She also covered “Ghost” and “Wild Dance”

Feed up the wolves before the show, then they won’t eat IVAN’s chorizo, but sadly they will sleep and snore loud on stage, and whole Europe will laugh.
Will that make them qualify or not? ANSWER!
Likes it’s a TV programme not a Youtube one
