Talk about a Eurovision coup! After a very cryptic tweet earlier in the week, the London Eurovision Party has revaled today that Sweden’s Frans will perform at the Café de Paris on April 17. This will be Frans’ only appearance at the five of the pre-contest preview parties. It’s a rare chance to take a very good look at how one of the contest favourites is shaping up ahead of Stockholm.

Mans Zelmerlow also performed at the London Eurovision Party last year, so it’s good to see Sweden back in town. What’s interesting to note is that the eventual winner of Eurovision has performed at the London party every year since 2013. With both Frans and Amir at the concert, would this quirk be bad news for Sergey Lazarev?

Frans is not the only Eurovision 2016 act to have been confirmed since our last update. Albania’s Eneda Tarifa will bring her “Fairytale” to London. We loved seeing Elhaida Dani perform there last year and can’t wait to welcome Eneda!

For anyone who wants to get up and boogie, then the London Eurovision team have got a real treat in store too. Following in the footsteps of her fellow Maltese JESC alum Gaia Cauchi, Destiny Chukunyere will perform her winning song “Not My Soul”. We’re sure that Destiny will get a great reception from the crowd and with Ira Losco also set to be in London, it’s fair to say that Team Malta is taking over!

Are you excited to see what Frans will bring to the London Eurovision Party? Remember: if you have any questions you want us to ask the acts, make sure to leave them in the comments section or send them via our Twitter page!

Sergey would’ve gone if not for his passing out. May will determine if he can still have the energy and drive to perform for all of Europe! He, and Russia, will have to find other ways to promote for the meanwhile. Speaking on his recovery and letting Europe know about him as a big singer in the music industry helps a lot. Shows struggle but keeps ppl talking about him. Or, maybe it’s better to keep him out of the limelight for a while. Better for him to be fully charged in Sweden than be overworked like Elhadia for Albania… Read more »

You dont like if I were sorry.Ok.But I think that many people like it because Sweden is 2 or 3 in bets and that means that people betting on Sweden very much and perhaps bets believe that it will do very well.

Yes, Frans does live on and off in London as he has his whole life. His grandma still lives there so he’s a frequent co-habitant of London:)
Right now he’s in his first year of secondary school, so I do think he’s permanent here, at least for a while. How he managed to balance living in both places I don’t know.

Destiny is probably the best singer there. She can win for Malta also the ESC without J.

@YAAAAS: I’m happy to see him being able to promote Sweden even though he has school.

Really? “SCHOOL”? Maybe he himself and his patron Björkman have been just hiding him from all that hating he has got from Eurovision fans? … “school” in front of such a huge contest? … who believes in it? 🙂

@Ciaran

I bet he was invited, but because of some reason either declined the invitation or simply couldn’t come because of some other commitments. Surely if small counties like Latvia can come and send Justs AND Aminata then an Ireland surely can afford to send their representative to Eurovision party.
