It was a long time coming, but Israel’s Hovi Star finally met wiwibloggs’ William. The meeting took place before Eurovision In Concert, and Hovi had a lot of say, starting with, “Impress me, bitch.”
We got the low-down on Hovi’s trademark asymmetrical hairstyle – a do he did himself. Before his Rising Star audition, Hovi says he asked himself, “What can I do to not be normal?” The answer was to radically shave the sides of his head. But Hovi’s hair was in safe hands — he is a trained hairstylist and makeup artist.
Hovi also talked about how he feels like a bit of an outsider at home in Israel, but when he’s in the Eurovision bubble, “I feel like I’m with all the crazies, so everyone understands me here.” You’re not alone, Hovi.
And William could not escape Hovi’s sass, being called out for the controversial original “Made of Stars” reaction video. After William claimed wiwibloggs had always loved Hovi, he shot back, “No you didn’t! You said, ‘Hovi’s not a star.’ I watched it several times!”
Hovi explained the substantially new version of “Made of Stars”. “I’m that kind of artist where if the audience wants something, I’ll serve it, bitch. I’ll give it, bitch.” And serve it he did.

@Skandar: Gays will always call each other “bitches” part of the stereotype that they all embrace and put on the spot all the time against everything and everybody and if you have a problem with that, they will shade you right away in a way that unless you understand Gay lingo you will need a proper dictionary to translate it all. This is what happens when Eurovision is too gay-focused and not everybody-focused.

Hovi is a great guy, but his song is not among the best. I wish him the best of luck and hopefully he qualifies for the final.
