Hovi Star didn’t have to travel far to make it to Israel Calling, and he was taking his duties as host very seriously. Wiwibloggs talked to him about Israel Calling, his Eurovision friends, social media and camels.
With the Israel Calling promo, Hovi was in the position of having 18 other Eurovision stars visiting his home country. “It’s really important for everyone to have fun,” he said. “It’s really important for me that people really enjoy themselves here.”
With many of the class of 2016 having previously been to preview parties in Riga, Moscow and London, Hovi said he’d made a lot of friends – and his social instincts didn’t let him down, “The people that I knew I was going to be friends with, those are the people that I’m friends with.”
William then hit Hovi with a challenge: to sing a snippet from songs in this year’s competition. Hovi jumped right in with the Bulgarian chorus of “If Love Were a Crime”, and had perfected the shoe shuffle of “Say Yay!”. But as for San Marino’s song – he didn’t know.
And a final word from Hovi: people do not go around riding camels in Israel. Israel has cars, ok?
DENIS DENIS
Not about his personality as a human, but I don’t think that his image is loved by many people. So obviously, he won’t get enough votes to get to the final.
Great artist and my personal winner <3
I’m captivated by Hovi, I love watching his interviews and I really like his song. I wish he will end up Top 3 at least.
