Ciao belli! This morning we’re happy to report some great news for Italian music lovers. Two of our favourite Eurovision representatives from Italy have joined forces for a secret project that they hope will go international.

Speaking to Italian Eurovision source Eurofestival News, Francesca Michielin revealed: “In August 2015 I started working with Marco Mengoni.

We are building a nice project together, it would certainly be great if it will be known abroad. Good things need time, step by step, now my first thought is for the Eurovision”.

One experience they’ve already shared — albeit in different years — is Eurovision.

Marco competed in Sweden in 2013 and reached 7th position with “L’essenziale”, while Francesca will sing “No Degree of Separation” at the Globen Arena in Stockholm in May.

At Eurovision in Concert, Francesca revealed to us that Marco is her favourite Italian Eurovision act ever.

Their collaboration is epic, but it shouldn’t surprise.

The amity between the two artists is well known. Plus they both won The X Factor in Italy, so work under the same label — Sony Music Italy — and share the same manager: Marta Donà.

It’s not clear if they will tour together or maybe even release an album of duets, but we know that we need to know and asap.

In the meantime, Mengoni is ready for his European tour. He will hit Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria and Poland between May and December. Buona fortuna Marco!

Norway’s worst entry in years. I think this won’t do very well in Stockholm. Not even the OGAE fans seems to like it. This is like a cheap trashy copy of Euphoria and Chandelier mixed together.
