She recently told wiwibloggs about her busy schedule, which includes finishing an album, planning a national tour and preparing for Eurovision 2016.

But if Dami Im is feeling any strain it isn’t showing in SBS Australia’s Eurovision 2016 ad, as the Korean-born beauty looks toned, taut and totally glam.

Wearing a futuristic catsuit with asymmetrical finish, she looks like a model ready to work the intergalactic runway.

Scroll down for video

The top features a sexy cut-out that reveals her stunning décolletage, and a super chic and curvaceous shoulder embellishment.

Below the waist she works just one pants leg, which, like the rest of her outfit, is decorated with silver sequins.

A sheer cape trails her, billowing as she moves and covering her perfectly peachy derrière.

Producers have built the commercial around her lyrics “I keep calling.”

As she calls, her famously supportive army of fans answer, running out with light sabres and orange flags, ready to slay for their pop music queen.

It’s perhaps the sleekest and sexiest ad from a Eurovision broadcaster that we’ve seen and further proof that Australia takes its place in Eurovision very seriously.

The bookies currently have Dami neck-and-neck with Ukraine’s Jamala to win the Second Semi-Final of Eurovision.

They also have her down as the contestant most likely to qualify for the final.

The “Sound of Silence” singer is also one of our favourites for this year’s contest.

She placed sixth with the Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of musical unprofessionals, which is made up of 40 jurors aged 14 to 65 in 25 countries around the world.

One juror wrote: “She keeps calling, calling, calling and I can’t help but answer. With ‘Sound of Silence’ Dami rides the ‘dirty pop’ wave, serving mystery, grit and soul with a heavy electro beat. She recounts her feelings of emptiness following a breakup, but fills the void with sultry vocals and some seriously raw emotion. Dami — a powerhouse vocalist — has the right material. With the proper staging and a bit of luck, she may soon have the Eurovision winner’s trophy too.”

Love your write up William! First time I saw this promo video, I said damn, she look futuristically hot! The video is nicely done. Dami look sexy, fierce, strong and powerful but not too overly revealing. All this and combined with powerful and Captivating vocal, I think she is going to slay on the Eurovision stage. From watching her past performances on big stage, she will do just that. Like she said, watch out Sweden, the Aussies are coming! Love watching her perform. Go Dami, Go #DamiArmy

@blondyboybc Australia is the biggest nation outside of Europe who have the largest viewers worldwide to watch Eurovision. Because of that they wanted them to participate, enabling them to have even more countries viewing Eurovision. The idea to put an Asian singer from Australia was purely strategic as there has been talks of Eurovision taking the same contest concept to Asia possibly calling it Asiavision or something like that. It’s good to say that Eurovision has come far and making it a contest not just for European countries but countries worldwide (a European contest for singers of all nations) maybe… Read more »

@Darren, I assume if Dami does win this year, the country who Australia gives their 12 points to will co-host it next year.

I remember the EBU saying last year that if Australia won Eurovision 2015, they would have to co-host in another European country the following year.

Does that rule still apply with Eurovision 2016? Especially now that they are basically regular participants now, if Dami wins, will Eurovision 2017 still have to be co-hosted in Europe, or would the EBU allow it to take place in Sydney?

Australia is taking Eurovision seriously. Dami Im has a few more surprises to spring on the EV community yet. If you think you know the power of her vocals, the precision, perfect pitch, the raw emotive quality she can deliver just from watching her videos, amateur or professionally done, you ‘ain’t seen nothing yet’! Wait until you experience this classy, elegant diva live. She’s got a killer song tailored specially for her. Don’t say she didn’t warn you. “Watch out Sweden. The Aussies are coming!'” And she’s got her whole #DamiArmy behind her!

“In 2066 Eurovision will include all of countries in the world and will be 1000% different”

Except USA. We’ll still be ignoring it.

That promo (it’s a promo, not a commercial) probably wasn’t that expensive, BTW, especially if the extras are SBS employees or volunteers. It just LOOKS expensive because they did a very nice job!

THAT IS NOT HOW YOU HOLD A LIGHTSABER!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, great video. Love that Australia is so excited about this, and their years of dedication to a contest they’d once never DREAMED of being a part of is paying off.
