When Måns Zelmerlöw stormed to victory at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna, he set hearts alight — and he inspired plenty of men to follow in his footsteps. This year 14 male solo acts will fly the flag for team sausage, up from just nine last year. Let that testosterone flow!

It’s anybody’s game to snag the trophy in Stockholm. But if this contest were just about the men, who do you think deserves top marks? Who is the best solo male vocalist at Eurovision 2016?

Review the songs below and then cast your votes. You can vote for as many guys as you’d like, but you can only vote one time, so be sure to click the box next to each act you want to support before pressing submit.

Belarus: Ivan with “Help You Fly”

Estonia: Jüri Pootsmann with “Play”

France: Amir with “J’ai cherché”

Hungary: Freddie with “Pioneer”

Ireland: Nicky Byrne with “Sunlight”

Israel: Hovi Star with “Made of Stars”

Latvia: Justs with “Heartbeat”

Lithuania: Donny Montell with “I’ve Been Waiting for This Night”

Netherlands: Douwe Bob with “Slow Down”

Poland: Michal Szpak with “Colour of Your Life”

Romania: Ovidiu Anton with “Moment of Silence”

Russia: Sergey Lazarev with “You Are the Only One”

San Marino: Serhat with “I Didn’t Know”

Sweden: Frans with “If I Were Sorry”

Russia is everywhere ’cause Sergey is a really great singer. No other reason. If you don’t like the song it’s normal but talking that he can’t sing it’s a 100% lie)) Good luck to everyone!

@Angelo Are you stone deaf or what? Micha? has the best voice this year, because he really can sing even the most difficult songs with power and high notes. If you can’t believe listen to his covers or live performances of “Color of Your Life” who sounds better than studio version. Please, just lead me better singer than him, but this is impossible. That poll is irrational, because people vote for songs and contestants they like, so it always be unfair…

I can’t believe how under-rated Ivan from Belarus is. I absolutely love his song and wish him top 10 in May as this is where he stands in my rankings. (I’m from UK)

I am totally fed up with the quality of the conversation on this site. There are a lot of stupid fans supporting they beloved Malta in every second post, or if I somebody does not like Israel’song he/she will be accused of racism, etc, or others in every article try to convince me that Michal Szpak is the best vocalist who have ever born on this planet. (who cares if his song is boring like hell IMO) Luckily this year Armenian and Azeri armies are more moderate than previous years.

For me its Sergey Lazarev, just listen how he sings O sole mio acapella http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nRj8g84iCs

I totally agree with you. I have been listened Sergey Lazarev since 2008 and I know how he can sing. Sergey has tenor`s voice and he can sing J`ai Peur from musical Romeo and Julie. I really like Belle – this song had been interpreted by Sergey Lazarev and Vlad Topalov:)

Uhm, Romania is not in the competition anymore. For exactly the same reason we don’t consider Dani and her song ‘La Vie A Vingt-cinq Ans’ an official entry from the 1974 contest. Simply put: Be objective.

Take away your favouritism people, and use your ears. Amir and Sergey aren’t bad singers but neither of them has got spectacular voice.
It’s between Szpak and Freddie.

Dont talk about jewish pepole, NO ONE asked for your opinion….and if you must know so i was say to him that im sorry for calling him in names and that the end of the story… what i wanted to say is that israel a lot of time dont get to the finals because antisemitic and politics and that is a a fact.

@Skandar
To accuse someone with antisemitism, homophobia, racism, Nazism…etc…is never acceptable. When these accusations are not justified (false), the accusers should be punished (e.g. paying fines or going to jail). It has nothing to do with the right to free speech (which is a nice notion, nothing else, anyway)!!!
Jews don’t take criticism well, but it doesn’t mean they have the right to accuse everyone with these things in order to take a revenge on their critics. False accusations can have serious consequences too. Eurovision cannot justify this unlawful behaviour.

Wow, I can’t believe the amount of trolls on this page. There are so many trolls from Poland and Israel, or so it seems. I cannot take those comments seriously, of course. Michal Szpak and Hovi Star the best voices? LMAO! Why? Because they are “belting” or whatever it is they’re doing? No no no, the sound of whales being slaughtered is more pleasant to my ears than hearing Michal Szpak or Hovi Star sing. And this article is about the BEST VOICE, so I do not understand why so many people mention Amir Haddad and Sergey Lazarev. Their vocals… Read more »
