The semi final rehearsals are less than a week away, but we can’t forget about the six automatic qualifiers who have already booked their spot in the final of Eurovision 2016. With some of the big favourites amongst the group, we want to know who you’re supporting from this illustrious group, which consists ofFrance, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. At the end of March we asked you to name your favourite. Voting is still open, but below you can see the results as of April 27.
France’s Amir leads the way at the moment, as he has done since this poll launched. The “J’ai cherché” singer has benefited hugely from his European promotional tour, narrowing on the oddstable to the point he is almost neck-and-neck with Russia. He’s also leading the OGAE fan poll. Amir currently has 29% of the vote, with 1,870 votes cast in his name.
Amir — “J’ai cherché”
Spanish sensation Barei is hot on his heels. When she’s not been teaching us how to dance, Barei has been busy performing “Say Yay!” at virtually every stop along the pre-party calendar. It’s clearly helping her with fans, and she’s polling 28% of our total, with 1,779 votes.
Barei — “Say Yay!”
She might be singing “No Degree of Separation”, but Italy’s Francesca Michielin is currently all by herself in third place with 17% of the vote — that’s 1,073 votes in total. We love Francesca here at Team Wiwi and it’s clear that Italy once again have a strong legion of supporters behind them.
Francesca Michielin – “No Degree of Separation”
Jamie-Lee Kriewitz didn’t tour Europe, but she’s been actively promoting “Ghost” throughout Germany. The Voice of Germany winner has struck a chord with 12% of those who have voted so far, earning 769 votes. It’s looking good for Germany to avoid the nul points this year!
Jamie-Lee Kriewitz – “Ghost”
In fifth place with 462 votes is host country Sweden and their Frans with “If I Were Sorry”. The song has been divisive ever since it won Melodifestivalen — just check out our Wiwi Jury video for proof of that — but 7% of you still have Sweden as your favourite.
Frans – “If I Were Sorry”
Which means that the UK’s Joe and Jake are bringing up the rear with “You’re Not Alone”. They may have won over the British public at the national final, but the results so far suggest Europe isn’t as keen. The duo have earned 410 votes, or 6% of the vote.

@oooops
Thank you, you too! I don’t really like school, I’m bored of it but I always do my homework in order to get high grades.
georgekirkas, I agree, I am not gay, but that law in Russia is just stupid, I know about that law, and now Russia have stopped the adoption of Russian kids to Sweden because we are so tolerant. Thank god I neither live in Russia!
We in Sweden had easter for around 2 weeks ago, and the holiday is around 1 week long, but we are away from school next week again, because of the ascension day. Happy easter!
Sorry for the mistake in my previous comment, it’s “attitudes”.
@oooops
David Who is talking about a law in Russia since 2013 which says that children and teenagers shouldn’t be influenced by LGBT people and relative attitiudes. However, I completely disagree with this law and thank God I don’t live in Russia!
@OR
Sorry, I got confused! It was another person who posted it! Anyway, thank you for the wonderful video and I think that your country has many open-minded people, right?
@oooops
Thank you for the support! My favourite countries this year are: Croatia, Switzerland, Iceland, Germany and Armenia.
In which way is this blog breaking the russian LGBT laws @David Who?
georgekirkas, good luck to your country as well. I like your song, especially the instrumental and traditional parts, but “Utopian land” is my 12th or something in my top 43, and my 5th in semi final 1. Which songs are your favourites?
@OR
I have heard of that. I want to ask you something: you posted in another article a comment about a documentary called “Hunted”. Are you talking about this one?

@georgekirkas

@OR
Good morning! No, fortunately I’m not at school! It’s Easter now in Greece, so we don’t have school for two weeks and I’m happy about that! School is boring!
@georgekirkas
HI good morning , you probably at school 🙂 have a great day darling!!
@Fransen
Good luck to to Italy, you have the most beautiful laughing, i always wanted to learn Italian 😉 🙂 and your song is very good , last year i voted for Italy and Israel give u 12 points
My top 6 of the big 5 and Sweden as of now:
1. France
2. Spain
3. Germany
4. Italy
5. UK
6. Sweden
My [relevant] question to Wiwibloggs’ Chris Halpin [who I adore] is this:
Why did Germany’s Jamie Lee not tour Europe?
Well with 14-year old boys reading and commenting on this blog, is the blog breaking Russia’s anti-LGBT law? I just thought I’d ask… 🙂
I’ll post my actual relevant question separately.
@oooops
Sorry, I misspelled your name in my previous comment!
@OR
Thank you very much, I am a big Eurovision fan since last year but I have listened to all the songs since 2011 and some of them in 2010.
@oops
Kisses from Greece and good luck to your country!
George Kirkas, I am also a 14 year old Swedish boy. Greeting from the country of Lynda Woodruff
@OR
I’m from Italy.
@Fransen

@OR
no big deal, you’re welcome! 😉
I hope Israel will qualify and do well in the Grand Final.
@Fransen
Sorry i thought you are been cynical….
Thanks for your comment and again i misunderstood you!
regards from israel
@OR
Sorry, what are you talking about? Homer said: “We are made of stars? What, is he serious?”. Yes, we are made of stars. I just thought it’d be cool to let him know in case he doubted it. I’m sorry you found my comment boring, but I didn’t write it to entertain you. There’s nothing to joke about – it’s science.
I love Israel’s song by the way.
@Fransen
its not funny , you can joke about it but your comment is just boring!! and yes we all made of stars we all pretty in our on way……………………. now joke about it again i really Dont care!!
@Homer Yes, we’re made of stars, scientifically speaking. 🙂 “The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.” – Carl Sagan From physics.org “Are we really made of stars? We are all made of stardust. It sounds like a line from a poem, but there is some solid science behind this statement too: almost every element on Earth was formed at the heart of a star. Next time you’re out gazing at stars twinkling in… Read more »

waww Sweetie you are so young, its impressing that u like the eurovision at your young age and u know a lot of songs from past years, you probably very smart!!
no i know you are smart by your smart comments!! big like!!
@Homer Again its your opinion only and your taste in music!! i think that hovi has a fantastic ballad and his song also bring a very important massage coming from hovi to gays/lesbian/fat/skiny whatever young people all over the world and the massage is not to be afraid to be who u are!! maybe its sound to u cheese but in 2016 there are a lot of homophobia and shaming in the world so we need that massage!! also his voice is the best!! Amir do not bring important massage and and his song not wow me at all… so… Read more »
@OR
I’m 14 and thank you for the link!
OR,
Israel? No, no and no! Enough of those boring ballads who doesn’t bring anything relevant to Eurovision, i hope he stays in the semis. We are made of stars? What, is he serious? I don’t care if he’s gay or straight, all i care about is the music and the fact is: his voice cannot save this entry from the deserved failure.
@georgekirkas
Yes thats great, so u learn 🙂 i also find this: its sound beautiful in Greek :

im 34 and u?
@OR
I’m not sure but I think that I found the link. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COhxgZCqZWk
Personal opinion: Spain is overrated and will do worse than expected.
@OR
I agree with you about France!
@OR
I’m a boy and thank you very much for your nice words, you are very kind too! Also, thank you for explaining how to post a link! I tried but nothing happened! Can you please explain more clearly? Finally, how old are you?
Generally, the Big5 always seem to struggle when it comes to the televote, and this year of course, the televote is separate to the jury vote and therefore unrestrained……..at face-value it seems like a bit of a rash move this, I hope the EBU have simulated it all! France has no diaspora and France also has no cultural closeness of note (Belgium will be channeled into giving its televotes to the diaspora there). If France does not come in the top few in people’s minds, then it will struggle in the televote (that’s why however low the UK is, France… Read more »
@Homer
This is only your opinion…. i think that the France song is ok but not woww, not special at all and also his voice is so average…. in my opinion Israel, Croatia, Bulgaria and Serbia have the most current beautiful songs and top vocalist singers !!! France have a good PR that all!!
Such a strong year for big 5 and host.
I love my top 3 and I’m pretty sure they will be the most voted songs in my country (at least televote)
1-Sweden
2-France
3-Italy
4-Germany
5-UK
6-Spain
@georgekirkas
Of course not!! you sound like a lovely and kind person…. you are like my little brother or sister .. winch one are u ? 🙂
And you must learn how to post a link its very easy… i will try to explain ; you mark the address of the INTERNET PAGE and press copy and than PRESS paste and paste it where u want… hhhhhhhhh 🙂 i hope u understand 🙂 🙂
HAHAHAHAHA, Barei is so freakin overrated, i can’t stop laughing, HAHAHAHA! Seriously, does anybody want that painful song to win the contest?Pathetic! France and Italy are the best easily, the rest is pure mediocrity especially the annoying song from Sweden. That teenager repeating If I Were Sorry like a hundred times with that fake british accent is brilliant, pure magic by the swedish pop machine.
1: Sweden
2: France
3: UK
4: Germany
5: Italy
6: Spain
@OR
Thank you for understanding me! I will definitely visit Israel when I grow up! Also, you are not going to dislike me just because I’m a teenager, are you?
@georgekirkas
ITS ok maybe when you grow up u can visit, its lovely here and the people are very friendly and worm… about the link – i will find it 🙂
@OR
Sorry, but I will disappoint you. I don’t know how to send a link, can you please explain me? Unfortunately, I am not coming to Israel because my parents obviously won’t permit me. And I don’t live in Athens, I live in Corinth, a city near Athens.
@georgekirkas
No i didint but i did heard that Greece are doing a version to golden boy, can u send me the link? and when are u coming to Israel? do u live in Athens ?
1. Italy
2. France
3. UK
4. Germany
5. Spain
42. Sweden
@OR
I am fine, thanks! I am really happy to see that you know many greek artists! Also, the video was great, thank you for the link! I want to ask you something: have you listened to the Greek version of “Golden Boy”? Greek singer Eleni Foureira performs it and it’s called “Sto theo me pai”, which means “takes me to God”.
