Stockholm’s Hard Rock Cafe has hosted music legends including The Jackson 5, The Temptations, Miles Davis and Iron Maiden. And on May 11 it will host some of your favourite Eurovision stars — both past and present — as part of the inaugural #WiwiJam. Kicking off at 6pm and running until late, the event is free and open to everyone. Due to overwhelming interest, you’ll need a ticket to enter. You can get your ticket here. Come listen to the stars, meet the team behind wiwibloggs and absorb the atmosphere of one of Stockholm’s premiere music venues.
Krista Siegfrids at the #wiwijam
Ding dong! Our sixth confirmed act is none other than “Marry Me” singer Krista Siegfrids. The Finnish beauty rose to fame on The Voice of Finland in 2012. A year later she publicly begged her boyfriend to marry her en route to winning UMK and a spot at Eurovision. Once in Malmö she shocked Europe by kissing her female backing vocalist during her live performance. The world was watching and she soon performed on Big Brother in the UK — before releasing hit after hit, from “On & Off” to “Better On My Own“. After turning down the chance to perform at Melodifestivalen in 2015, she said “I do!” this year. We loved her song “Faller” and we love her. It’s Krista Siegfrids!
Krista Siegfrids at Melodifestivalen 2016 (Interview)
Krista really knows how to put on a show.
From touching ballads to energetic party tracks, she drops it like it’s hot — and always with stunning vocals.
She might have placed only 24th in the Eurovision final but people still remember her and Team Ding Dong.
Krista Siegfrids is the sixth confirmed artists for #WiwiJam — joining Nina Kraljic, Greta Salome and many others.
Remember to check the site soon as we will confirm more acts the coming days!
What songs do you want Krista to sing inside the Hard Rock Cafe?
@georgekirkas
i also liked Marry Me, was one of my favourite entries as well in 2013 🙂
Krista seems really fun, and a good singer as well 🙂
and this year i love how Ira makes it sound really easy, when all the lower notes what she is singing is very difficult to make it sound that easy and fun 🙂
Best of Luck to Ira and 42 other countries, let’s hope we get entertained by all of them, and may the best win 🙂
That’s great! Hopefully you can get some male acts as well
@William Adams Lee Adams
Thank you very much, that was really helpful!
On & Off is amazing song. Why Krista didn’t send it to Uuden Musikin Kilpailu?
I really love Faller, it’s my guilty pleasure. It’s all thanks to Krista that I reconsidered getting back to learning Swedish and she has a special spot in my mind.
@Ben Rafter
Can you please explain and maybe I will be able to help you.
I know this has nothing to do with this article, but can anyone give me a link to the website that predicts your top 43? It is like this: it gives you 2 countries and you hit off the one you like more. It keeps going like that until it gives you your top. So does anyone have the link?
Krista was really underrated in 2013, I love “Marry Me”! This is how you make a funny song sound amazing! I also love her English accent, she sounds like an American.
