To win Eurovision you need a killer song and a decent voice. To win Eurovision’s Next Top Model you need a personality that can charm the masses and a body that just won’t quit. The women who bring all of these attributes to the table have a chance for a career as an international superstar when their Eurovision glory fades.
On April 3, twenty-six women entered the House of Wiwi hoping to sashay their way into the finals of Eurovision’s Next Top Model, the premiere online modelling contest for the women competing at Eurovision. But the team at wiwibloggs.com can only afford 14 cans of hairspray and 14 pairs of fake eyelashes. To help us narrow the field our readers cast a total of 46,462 votes for their favourites in the semi-finals. It is now time to review the results and announce our 14 finalists…
The winner of our semi-finals is no stranger to high fashion. In the spring she attended the Ralph Lauren Polo show at New York Fashion Week as a special guest of the world renowned designer. She’s got beauty, she’s got grace, and she’s riding a #LoveWave straight into our hearts. She is Armenia’s Iveta Mukuchyan!
Iveta earned an impressive 16,489 votes in our poll — or around 35% of all those cast. She heads into the finals as the favourite to win. But know this: No woman who has won the semi-finals of ENTM has gone on to win the Top Model final. Pace yourself and remind your troops to vote…
At the moment Iveta’s only other competition comes from regional rival Azerbaijan.
The Baku-born stunner earned 11,041 votes, or around 24% of all those cast. She believes in miracles and we believe in her. She is Samra!
Twenty-four ladies now stand before me. But I only have 12 photos in my hands. These 12 photos represent the 12 of you who are still in the running to become Eurovision’s Next Top Model. I will only call 12 names. Those of you whose name I do not call out must immediately return to the House of Wiwi, pack your belongings and go home. And don’t take my towels or I will call the police.
The dirty dozen who will advance to the final along with Iveta and Samra are…
Malta’s Ira Losco, the Czech Republic’s Gabriela Guncikova, Italy’s Francesca Michielin, Spain’s Barei, Austria’s Zoë, Bulgaria’s Poli Genova, Serbia’s Sanja Vucic, Ukraine’s Jamala, Australia’s Dami Im, Norway’s Agnete, Belgium’s Laura Tesoro and Germany’s Jamie-Lee Kriewitz.
That means the ladies from Moldova, Greece, Iceland, Switzerland, Albania, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Finland need to go.
