Zoë from Austria has burned her Barbie doll house and the orange glow radiated on stage during her first rehearsal. The Austrian starlet dazzled in a beautiful gown and her voice made us feel like we were in a peaches and cream dream. So delish!

The performance begins quite subdued. Then a magical yellowy-pink brick road appears from underneath Zoë’s feet. The blowing wind gives her beautiful silk gown dimension and movement. Three-dimensional butterflies flutter behind Zoë on the LED wall to create something that is truly magical.

It’s important to note two things that have changed drastically since her performance at the Austrian national final. First, this is significantly less pink and therefore less sickly. Second, there was no treadmill! It seems that Zoë’s lungs can rest a little easier without that extra cardio.

Young women vote will bring this to the final.

It’s actually very different from any other act. She sings this very well. She’s quite charming…kinda has everything you need to become a highlight out of this poor quality semifinal.

This entry is the definition of “cheesy”.

okay, that “show” was supposed to mean “snow” and obiously I wanted to say “hand-PAINTED” 🙂

I also miss the show, but I agree that the hand-apainted background is wonderful.
About the final, I don’t think it’s a borderline qualifier. Either top 5 or not at all.

Bonsoir Stockholm, bonsoir l’Europe,

Zoe 12 points !!! Elle est belle, elle chante bien et en plus elle chante en français, que vouloir de plus ? “On chante, on chante, on danse, on danse”
Ou tu veux quand tu veux !!!

Bisous,
Maxime

It is a bit to sugary and sweet, everything is sunshine and daisies and everyone is happy. Nauseating.
But I still like it!

” this is a by-the-numbers pop song. different? don’t make me laugh. it’s utterly generic.”

You’re right. It’s just like …. uhm, help me out here again, Kane. What’s it just like?

You DO know what “generic” means, right?

In my opinion Zoe is as like as Alizee. I really like this song but Austria isn`t in my top 5. Austria would be in Grand Final:)

I don’t know if its going to be a case of right performer wrong year: something like Quel Filou would’ve stood out last year. WSFÖ didn’t have a great selection this year this might have been the best of a relatively bad bunch. There’s always one fan fave that fails, (being in Austria myself) I fear this could be the one this year.

@Kane

Don’t lie to yourself, just admit that the song is original! You find untrue reasons to criticize it just because you don’t like it!

OK Kane, find us a song that sounds like this to back up your claim. 🙂

I still do not get how people say this song is exceptionally generic. I mean, people cannot even discuss exactly why they say it is considered as one. The favorite ones this year are even more generic than the likes of this song.

No way the GP will like this. This is so weird, too childish and ”sweet.” Will probably be the fan flop of this year.

This is the exact opposite of a fanwank. It’ll do a lot better with the “normals” than it does with the Eurovision nuts, because it’s catchy and different and she’s as cute as she can be. Easy qualifier.

I want her to qualify and will vote for her.

For me the song is just cheesy. It does not depend on the visuals. It is about the cheesy lyrics and the horroble Euro dance beat that ruins an otherwise likeable chanson.

The staging and her dress are good, better than the ones in the national final.

Really what we expected. I would say this should not qualify, but as it stands out as an unique act, it will sure qualify (around 6-8 in her semi)

Such an underrated stand out. This is a huge ear-worm and it’s high class. Totally deserves to qualify. Good luck Zoë, I will be voting for you from the UK!

It’s not a bad song, as said below, it can be quite cheesy but it’s pleasant on the ears and a nice break from all of the LED thunder and Lightning. I hope this qualifies, so that Austria’s success in 2014 wasn’t just the one-off that everyone expects it to be. It’s an extremely tough semi though

No matter how much they tone down the “pinkness” the song will always be cheesy and just plain boring. One of the worst entries this year for sure.
