The first rehearsal for Belgium has just come to a close, and Laura Tesoro with her song “What’s The Pressure” has proved to the press here in Stockholm that she has come to slay! The staging is similar to the Belgian national final, but on a much larger scale and she uses every inch of her petite body to coat the entire stage in her magnificence.

The staging of the song is a jazzed up version of the show y’all will already be familiar with. It’s like Belgium sprinkled some cinnamon on top and spiced it up. The classic disco lights are displayed all along the LED floor and walls, and the big stair case is present for the backing singers to stand on.

The biggest improvement however is in the production of the choreography. Laura is smashing out some incredibly challenging dance moves – even managing to keep up with the professional dancers behind her. Laura and her posse walk down stage in the beginning donning small handkerchiefs in the colours of the Belgian flag. Then the team get down and dirty as the kill some funkalicious moves on stage.

Vocally, Laura was flawless. Despite popping and locking her body throughout the performance, not once was she out of breath or in pain. It’s really quite amazing and it’s a phenomenally catchy end to the second semi final.

This is great! I was hoping that the staging was going to be similar to the music video, not her national final performance and that is what she has gone for.

This is much better-suited for the song and Laura seems much more comfortable with it. Her dance moves are really good!

I love Belgium this year… Nothing like it this year plus Laura is basically doing such a good job of selling the song.

Sailing through to the grand final and kinda hard to predict what will happen there…. I personally think that with a good draw this can kill the chances of a few favorites this year.

Well done Laura!!!

I think Belgium has a good song, I expected them in the top 5!
Belgium underdog: begins low , ends high.

Fun enough to make the final. This is perfect to start the final, as someone said before.

But at the same time, this is too trivial/superficial to clinch a top spot. We have lots of meaningful songs as good or better than this one. Top 14-18 at best.

@Pollaski

I totally agree with you, I don’t understand why everyone hates it! When I listen to it I want to get up and start singing and dancing along!

If this don’t make the final, there’s something wrong with ya’ll in Europe.

And if you still have any doubts, hop in a car, head to an open road, and turn your volume up. Eurovision’s never busted out a leadfoot driving song like this one.

Top 5 in my book, and the sad realization it ain’t even coming close to what it deserves.

Is this performing at Junior Eurovision? Plus her voice sounds atrocious, especially around the 0:35 part.

I haven’t seen the clip; but I have seen the music video, which convinced me that she will certainly qualify. Getting the pimp spot in the 2nd round also helps.

Much better than the awful Loic

I think this could have a similar “effect” as Switzerland in 2014 – the only happy, upbeat song presented nicely. It could surprise and do rather well!

It’s kinda unfair to compare Laura to Loïc, she is not competing against him, and almost any song would lose to “Rhythm inside” which is one of the best songs ever in Eurovision.
Laura just brings a simple up-beat song which is a fresh air among many boring avarage eurovision songs we have this year.
This song could survive after the contest unlike most of the favourites (Russia, Australia, Armenia or Ukraine..)

@OR

I disagree, I didn’t like “Rythm Inside”. “What’s The Pressure” is much better for me.

This better qualify. I think I will vote for it. Better qualify over some of the mediocre-at-best entries (ie…Poland, Macedonia, Albania)

One of the most underrated entries this year! Rousing song, confident performer and this funky style that I love! Personally, I think that this is like 1.000.000 times better than that overrated crap Belgium sent last year! Unfortunately, though, there is no justice in this world.

This one is going to be the danceable song of this edition.

It will make the final probably and I think this will open the show on May 14th.
