wiwibloggs caught up with Iveta after her second rehearsal, and despite a triumphant performance, she kept things humble and steered clear of diva territory.
Indeed, Iveta is always looking for ways to improve.
“I’m a perfectionist, if one thing isn’t perfect then I focus on it. It’s a pity, but I can’t enjoy the rest if something is out of place. Working on the little things is how you deliver a great performance.”
Elaborating on the concept of a “Lovewave”, Iveta revealed that it is a situation or moment that you “feel in your body” and that it is the “feeling that makes you happy”.
Iveta’s high tech staging won unanimous applause and saw her pass out hot favourite Sergey Lazarev in the affections of many. The holograms, pyro and outfit have people head over heels in love, but it turns out this is the toned down version.
“I didn’t want extras, there’s so much you could do with the stage, but Eurovision is about the song.” Yerevan is putting voice and song front and center and that is how you kill it in this contest.
Before she selected “Lovewave”, Iveta had the choice of a Swedish alternative song, which she informed us was written by Thomas G:Son of “Euphoria” fame.
She hopes to collaborate with him in the future.
Iveta is set for success, and after winning the semi-finals of Eurovision’s Next Top Model 2016, the world is her oyster.
Slay Iveta, slay.
