We were delighted to catch up on the Red Carpet ahead of the Opening Ceremony not once, but twice with 2015 Eurovision Song Contest winner Måns Zelmerlöw, who is hosting this year’s show together with Petra Mede. He opened up to us about working with Petra, the possibility of a Melodifestivalen comeback, and his new album.
In our first encounter, Måns confessed to Denise that, although actually competing in Eurovision is more exciting, he feels more relaxed as a host. He feels that he has great chemistry with Petra Mede and hopes that the love they have for another will be transparent on stage. Despite winning last year, he says that he might return to the Melodifestivalen stage, which he loves. When Denise asked him about his opinion on Frans’ chances, the host advised him to stay as genuine and relaxed as he was in Melodifestivalen and he expressed his confidence that the new Swedish representative would do great.
It was then our William’s turn to talk to last year’s Eurovision winner. Måns told wiwibloggs that, despite the hardships of being a host, it is a lot of fun and that he is honoured to be part of the show.
He also assured us that he and Petra would be singing. Lastly, he announced that his new EP would drop in a month’s time, followed by yet another EP in autumn.
Are you as excited as we are to see Måns host the show with Petra?
Edd looks so cute 🙂
I bet the interval act with him and Petra is going to be fantastic.
I’m mostly looking forward to his acoustic version of “Heroes” on Tuesday though!
