On the Eurovision stage they may consider each other fierce rivals, however Samra from Azerbaijan and Amir from France recently got together at a cupcake store in Stockholm and the pair hit it off right away – creating delicious delicacies for each other in the colours of their respective country’s flags. Conversation flowed between the pair, even when Samra asked some hard hitting questions.
The pair answered questions from fans on Twitter, which took a provocative turn when Amir was asked by Samra whether or not it was fair that France automatically qualified for the Eurovision Grand Final, instead of passing through the semi final stage. Amir took more of a Miss Universe approach to his answer – explaining that he doesn’t make the rules of the contest and admits that the process would be far more intense if he had to complete in the semi-finals.
The conversation went a playful direction when the two sang a beautiful, impromptu duet of Samra’s entry song, “Miracle”.
