Hot off the release of her new music video for the hit “Cool Me Down”, rumors are flying that Margaret is indeed interested in representing Poland at Eurovision 2017.

What we can tell you for sure: A source close to Margaret — but not Margaret herself — previously told wiwibloggs that she is open to the idea of representing Poland in the future, though nothing has yet been confirmed. Telewizja Polska has also yet to reveal whether they will stage another round of Krajowe Eliminacje — their Eurovision selection in 2016 — or select their candidate internally, as was the case in 2014 and 2015.

Margaret finished second to Michal Szpak in the Polish national selection show earlier this spring after being the hot favorite to win with oddsmakers and Eurovision fans alike.  When she unveiled her single “Cool Me Down”, Poland shot to the top of the pack and became the bookies’ overall favorite to win Eurovision 2016.

On May 17, three days after the Eurovision Grand Final, where Szpak finished 8th overall, Margaret released the music video for “Cool Me Down”.

It is a steaming ode to Margaret’s own ferocity and every woman’s intrinsic power, both as a sexual being and as an effeminate force to be reckoned with.

She paints a strong picture of female empowerment through the lyrics: “Got my high stilettos on fleek – no nothing can cool me down” and “I’m your goddess – on your knees – down, down, down…”.

The visually tantalizing video leaves us begging for more – and in the best way! Pyrotechnics, fierce dance moves, stunning visual effects, a dance sequence reminiscent of TLC’s 1995 video for “Waterfalls” and even a cameo by a very talented humpback whale. With all of that to compete with, Margaret still brings the heat and shines through the flames. This video has it all!

For those looking for relief from the summer heatwave, you can travel over to Sweden and cool down in style! It was just released that Margaret will perform alongside a slew of this year’s Melodifestivalen stars at the RIX FM Festival, taking place throughout the steamy weeks of August.

Margaret not only sings, but also holds a degree in fashion design, ya’ll!

If Margaret were to represent Poland at Eurovision in 2017, she would most definitely be a red-hot contender for Eurovision’s Next Top Model 2017. She might even grace us with one of her own designs on the Eurovision stage in Ukraine — and the thought gives us shivers!

What do you think?  Should Margaret be given another opportunity to represent Poland at Eurovision? Should she be internally selected or should she have to compete with other hopefuls in a national selection? Let us know below!

The Jury actually is there to decide objectively and give points if the song is good. What gain would they have by not giving Poland any points??
That is exactly why Australia won the Jury votes and Poland failed miserably.
If Margaret manages to produces another hit like Cool me down, there’s no need to worry about the jury voting for us.

1. Margaret
2. Kasia Mos
3. Sylwia Grzeszczak
4. Natalia Szroeder
5. Dorota Osinska
6. Edyta Gorniak
These six women has the best voices and songs and they can sing in English. I would also like to see again, Magda Tul with a new catchy song. If Stashka recorded a song like ‘Chce kochac’ it would be great. I love this song! Grzegorz Wilk is also a great artist.

While I believe that Poland should withdraw from the ESC. The jury doesn’t like them.

It would be nice to see her perform in the Eurovision 2017, but nevertheless no matter how good her song will be, the unprofessional jury will again vote against Poland and put her on the bottom of the list, so it makes no sense for good artists like her to even participate

I personally love Poland and with all the times they were ROBBED, starting with 1994, I think it’s time for them to finally win. TVP needs to internally select Margaret, possibly corrupt some juries, and bring the trophy home.

@Charles And you keep on insulting everyone… Never mind, keep on doing that… I’m glad you got a little happiness in your life 😉 I feel really sorry for you, pathetic person. Seriously, who gave birth to you? Let me guess: a monkey! Ha ha ha! Goodbye, little trash! And I’m calling you like that because that’s what you are: pure trash. What is your contribution to society? Let me guess once again: you are a garbage man. Anyway, I usually don’t chat with inferior “people” like you but today I made an exception. Never again! Good luck with your… Read more »

@The Brightest Falling Star: Shall I pay for your next psychiatrist appointment? You clearly feel disturbed and dealing with negative views on your beloved bs favourite acts (I am not even daring to call these as singers) clearly is not the easiest thing for you to do. You don’t wanna sound bitter and angry .. maybe who knows you should learn what great music and great singing really is all about … but only when you feel okey about yourself and you stop being hypnotized by all those uptempo beats that kinda prevent your from understanding what bad singing really… Read more »

Hello! Here’s a news from polish gossip website.Doda says she is interested in participating in the Eurovision. She requires a fully support from TVP, because she wants to make a big show like other countries. And as she is a well-known polish scandalist, her words sounds pretty obvious. She talks about being proud representing her country and also about creativity and innovations. Sounds promising?

Okay, Micha? fans. You got your eurovision 2016.
Now let us have Margaret and stop hating on her.
She would need a song like Cool Me Down, a little vocal training, better background singers, and Eurovision will take place in Warsaw in 2018!

There are also gossips that Doda is going to represent Poland in ESC 2017 but I hope it’s joke.If it would be truth it would be a tragedy.

I’m bored of seeing your comments through which you always express negative ideas about everyone and everything… Don’t you have to do anything else in your life other than mocking everybody? Do you know what they say? First criticize yourself and then you can do the same with the others. Seriously, the negativity you emit influences other people so please stop it.

@EugeneESCUK: Finally someone said it … “There is no autotune in the ESC” … unless someone decides to bring Denmark 2000 into this … but … at least The Olsen Brothers knew what they were doing … I can’t say the same for most of the pop female Rihanna-wannabes out there …

Charles
Charles

She can represent Poland whenever she wants for as long as she understands that doing Rihanna-esque songs every time is not a good sign of credibility but more a way to entertain a monkey in the zoo … and by the way … getting those vocals to properly work live is also recommended … we already have one damn Rihanna to sing questionably flat and soulless live … Maybe learn a thing or 2 with Zara Larsson who is able to almost sound Rihanna-esque but still be believable in what she does should help a lot …

I hope she succeeds in representing Poland next year. She could have won Eurovision with Can’t Cool Me Down, but, for an unfortunate case, Poles picked up Micha?… well, she’ll have her revenge

Margaret was already quite famous before 2016, and so there is a strong reason for sending her. Margaret is no Michal, but her vocals are still strong, but suited for a more stripped back, acoustic sound. If she entered with a song like that but still sounded modern, she would easily win the televote and place high with the juries.

Her vocals were far from bad! If she comes back I bet the song won’t be as good as Cool Me Down (returning artists almost never have a song better than their first try, Ace Wilder, Anton Ewald, Kati Wolf)

This song was written by the Heroes production team, AKA the ‘we copy whichever style you want’ squad. This time they tapped into the Rihanna vein, like Zara Larsson and Eva Simons did before them. There’s no identity at all to this kind of music, it’s the producers that decide the sound and basically anyone can sing it, it doesn’t even matter if you have a good singing voice as they’ll fix that with autotune.

Will you write about the new remix songs of Say Yay or about Royal Sound’s serious accident? Royal Sound is the boyfriend of barei and co-author of Say Yay together with her. He hit to 40km/h against to wall and his face have been ruined.

If her live vocals improve and if she has a song as good as “Cool Me Down” (or even better), then she is ready to represent Poland! I know that her live vocals can improve, look at Lidia Isac and Rykka, they were awful in their national selections and then they surprised us in Stockholm.

Would be nice but she needs a song that she can perform live. Her live rendition of Cool me down was not good at all, only the studio version was worth listening to.

If she can do that, she might give Poland a good placing.

Unless she wants to make a fool of herself then she might as well just represent the UK LOL

She should be given the chance, she now has almost a year to prepare and work on her live vocals and stage presence, if she manages to improve in those areas and get a strong song we might see Poland fight to win next year.

Maybe Poland should hold another national final and let the people decide if she matured in these areas though.
