Her song “Cool Me Down” was a fan favourite in the Polish national final, and now Margaret has her sights set on conquering Sweden, with a live appearance on the summer singalong show Sommarkrysset.

“Cool Me Down” was written and produced by a Swedish dream team, including Arash who represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision in 2009, and Linnea Deb who co-wrote “Heroes”. Margaret’s Swedish record company is pushing the power pop of “Cool Me Down” in Sweden, and it’s already reached the top 40.

On the Sommarkrysset stage, she wore a hairy black jumpsuit (!) and some golden shoes, joined by two dancers. While Margaret gave a poptastic performance that rocked the Gröna Lund stage, her vocal performance didn’t match the studio version fans came to love. She seemed unable to deliver the lyric “Imma light a spark and let the crazy out”, with a prerecorded vocal always coming in to take over.

But Margaret put on a good show, and the Sommarkrysset crowd were loving the big pop sound she delivered.

Those who hate Margaret’s performance don’t know anything about music! Seriously, this woman songs better than Paris Hilton and Yoko Ono!

Margaret’s songs are so good, but her stage presence is bloody awful.

The comments section here is very interesting from a sociological/psychological point of view. Why do so many people waste energy and write negative and/or hate comments? I would love to see behind those hater and troll minds. I mean, this is just pop music, it’s supposed to be fun. If you don’t like it, then why even bother and write things like “This would have flopped”, “boring song”, “She really is awful”, “Performance also not good” and so on. Especially considering she is NOT off-key, but perfectly in tune. And not everyone has to be a Mariah Carey. I will… Read more »

This would have flopped so badly. She simply cannot sing live.

She cant hit the low notes. I cringed hearing those notes. She didnt even sing some of the lines, pretending to be dancing really hard. Meh.

Such a boring song that it doesn’t matter that her vocals are massively off.

She is not a perfect vocalist but the blond Rihana has a memorable voice, attitude and star quality. The song is great of course and had it competed in ESC it could have enjoyed the biggest chart success of the bunch.

As much as I was disappointed that Poland didn’t select her for Stockholm, if she hasn’t been able to improve her vocals even now, several months down the line, her missing out was probably for the best

I like her vocals. I think she did better here than on the Polish final.

She still would have lost to the majestic 1944. Cool Me Down’s competition would’ve been Dami and Sergey.
