The Greek music scene is all about Eurovision. So it’s only natural that its mainstream pop stars have a habit of covering Eurovision songs in the weeks and months after each contest. And this year the tradition continued at the MAD VMAs in Athens.
Greek star Demy, who is once again rumoured as a potential Eurovision act for Greece, joined Bulgaria’s Poli Genova for a multilingual duet of Poli’s hit “If Love Was A Crime”.
Thirsty for dance, the two girls began their performance standing on a podium. Bright lights and fireworks lit up the arena, dancers filled the stage and everyone in the audience got carried away. Heck, we’re getting carried away a few weeks later!
But Demy is now taking it to another level. The popular artist has released “Isovia Mazi” (A Life Sentence Together), the Greek version of Bulgaria’s entry.
She performed the single at the Super Music Awards in Cyprus recently. You can download it here — that is, if you can handle the heat!
Hungry for more twists on Eurovision 2016 songs? Then be sure to check out Sergey Lazarev and his duet with Helena Paparizou on “You Are The Only One”.
If you rewind to last year, you can hear Greek pop princess Eleni Foureira performing the Greek version of “Golden Boy”, titled as “Sto Theo Me Pai”. It ended up being a huge summer hit with the teen ‘dancing queens’.
Nice vid! You can see performance fit well but still they could put more of her dance. Lovely lads 🙂
