Stockholm Pride 2016 is right around the corner, and that means it’s time to come out and support the LGBT community with some amazing music and live performances.
As an epicentre of schlager and euro-pop, it’s only natural that Stockholm has managed to land some of the hottest acts from Eurovision and Melodifestivalen. All the action will go down on Thursday July 28 on the Pride Park stage at Östermalms IP — a sports pitch located at Fiskartorpsvägen 2. The show starts at 19:00 local time.
Stockholm Pride 2016: Main stage line-up
This year’s line-up includes three Eurovision 2016 acts: Russia’s Sergey Lazarev, Spain’s Barei and Israel’s Hovi Star. Expect him to drop the word bishes more than a few times!
They’ll be joined by some other familiar names from the 2016 Eurovision season including The Hungry Hearts, who competed in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix and sang at the Wiwi Jam, and Bracelet, who made the final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.
Vintage Eurovision fans are in luck too. Sweden’s Lill-Babs (ESC 1961) and Luxembourg’s Baccara (ESC 1978) will also perform.
Melodifestivalen stars will be very well represented by Velvet, The Moniker, Anna Book, Erik Linder and Lili & Susie. No word yet on whether Anna will sing any songs that once entered the national selection in Moldova.
Shirley Clamp and Behrang Miri will host the event — and, presumably, sing.

Neither Azerbaijan nor Belarus wanted her for their biggest national music festivals. Looks like she is not invited to anything of musical importance outside her country. Conchita is actually singing today on Amsterdam Dam Square with Trijntje Oosterhuis, Shirma Rouse( Background singer of Anouk) Jennie Lena (background singer of Trijntje) and a lot of others! Amsterdam is hosting Europride this year so two weeks of gay goodness. And I am so happy that hunky Sergey is singing on prides.. the true winner of 2016 imo!
So happy that Hovi Star will be there to sing his wonderful song <3 ????
