In 2015, he was doing “Tonight Again”, in 2016 he’s doing The X Factor again. Guy Sebastian, the man responsible for Australia‘s debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna last year, has officially been confirmed to return to the judging panel of The X-Factor alongside some big names in the international music scene. Guy will be joined on the judging panel by American Idol runner-up and all-round bae Adam Lambert, along with the queen of the Australian rap scene, Iggy Azalea.

The show, which brought us the amazing Dami Im, almost didn’t go ahead this year. The X Factor broadcaster the Seven Network almost left the series dead for 2016, saying it would be revisited in 2017. However, a spur-of-the-moment decision by the network means that one of the highest-rating programs in Australia will continue.
The 2016 series looks to be getting a revamp, with promotional videos dubbing the series X Factor: The Next Generation. It emphasises a focus on developing artists with a true sense of individuality and a lack of need to conform to the music industry.
So far auditions have been filmed with only the three announced judges, suggesting the four traditional X Factor teams may be a thing of the past. However, media are reporting that former judge Mel B will be returning to the show, making up the standard X Factor quartet of judges.

The reshuffle of the judging panel did stir some controversy amongst the Australian media. Dannii Minogue — responsible for mentoring Dami Im in 2013 and Ruth Lorenzo on The X Factor UK in 2008 — was surprisingly axed from the show, along with James Blunt and Chris Issak, both of whom only served one year on the show.
What do you make of the new judging panel for The X Factor Australia? Let us know in the comments section below.
@Charles yes thats what i meant. Hovi reminds me of Adam
Iggy Azalea judging about someone’s singing skills? Someone must be trolling.
@Lianne: You mean Hovi reminds you of Adam … cause you see Adam has been around way longer than Hovi … American Idol 2008 for Adam and 3 studios albums and a worldwide tour with Queen … Hovi … has been in Eurovision and gesticulating and snatching his fingers as if he’s desperate to be on the next E! Channel reality show whatever it may be promoting LGBT as shallow and futile sneaky and gossipy for nor reason… and Hovi has a voice and talent that is far greater than all the gay cliches at the face of the earth.
Adam lambert is amazing. 🙂
