With less than 100 days to go until Junior Eurovision 2016 in Malta, Ukrainian broadcaster NTU has revealed the 12 finalists for its national selection.

Earlier today, Timur Myroshchenko hosted the semi-final at NTU’s studios in Kyiv. The broadcaster gave us a four hour livestream of the delightful hot mess, featuring giant teddy bears, colourful balloons, Kamilla Ismailova inspired dresses and a wide variety of songs. You can watch the show in all its glory below.

Uhorskyy Tanok sounds like a vocal exercise rather than a JESC entry but if it gets sent to JESC and Ukraine somehow wins, it’s going to be the start of the trend of people sending vocal exercise tracks as their JESC entries.

I think Andriy’s voice is good but his song lacks soul, it feels empty to me, if you know what I mean.

Ok, so Vanessa wants Andriy Boyko to win. In other words, this means that Wiwibloggs’ article for after the polls are finished should be “JESC 2016: Andriy Boyko should represent Ukraine”. 🙂

Ukraine, seriously you have to send Andrey Boyko! I heard he’s a favorite and that people think that he’s going to win. I truly hope that’s true

@Vlad. Around 1:17:00 of the video is “Uhorskiy tannok”. I praise children’s creativity in most of the performances, but this is way too different, and that’s why I think it made to the finals. It’s funny to see one of the remaining national selections for JESC. My favorite is Anastasiya Bahinska. She has that kind of charisma JESC has been looking for.

“Uhorskyy tanok” wow, that’s exactly translated as “Hungarian dance”. Very, very interesting. Didn’t listen to the song though but i hope it will be something with folk tunes.

That’s great. However, I understand why people want more boys to be confirmed, so I was hoping for Ukraine to choose Andriy Boyko or Denis Rodin. 🙂
