Three days ago she publicly reaffirmed her willingness to sing at Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv, leaving us to bite our well-polished fingernails as we wait for even more details.

And on Friday Ruth gave us still more to be excited about as she revealed via her Instagram account that a new single is on its way. Say it with me now: Yasssss!

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 14, as that’s when her new tune “Voces” (Voices) becomes available on all digital platforms.

POR ELLAS 2016

But that’s not all. The new single will also serve as the anthem of Por Ellas 2016, an inspiring charity project set up by the Cadena 100 Radio Station to raise funds for the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

Established three years ago, the event brings together some of Spain’s most beloved voices for a very admirable cause. Ruth specially composed her song for the event.

A delightful album will be made even more meaningful during the three-hour charity concert at Barclaycard Center in Madrid on Saturday, October 22.

You’ll definitely recognise some of the other names on the performance list.

Among them is Barei, Spain’s Eurovision 2016 star who recently told us all about her period pain, and Soraya, who has been busy reinventing her sound of late.

And then there’s Carlos Baute, LP, Sergio Dalma, Manuel Carrasco, Rosana and many, many more.

All you party people can buy your tickets here!

Are you excited to hear Ruth’s new single? And will you be among the lucky ones to hear it live at the charity event? Let us know in the comments box below.

Spain should not be afraid to be itself. Sing a ballad if is good and the singer is used with ballads. After all dance and english did no favor (see 2016).
