Georgia — the country of big voices, eccentricity, major attitude and some of JESC’s most memorable acts — has today announced that their chosen singer for Malta will be 10-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili.
Mariam has been singing since age 4. She has studied at Bzikebistudio, also at Evgeni Mikeladze State Central Music School, and has participated in different concerts and TV shows. Since 2015, Mariam has lived in the USA where she studies at the Broadway Method Academy and attends Tomlinson Middle School.
The Georgian contender was selected by an expert jury, consisting of Rusudan Bakhtadze (vocal coach), Nato Dumbadze (producer), Zaza Orashvili (director), Nika Kocharov (singer, ESC 2016 participant ), Lizi Pop (singer, JESC 2014 participant). They internally selected Mariam after judging entries sent in to Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) .
GPB will soon announce the song Mariam will sing in Malta. And not surprisingly, “Gabede” composer Giga Kukhianidze will work on the song together with Mariam Mamadashvili.

Great Voice. I think she has a good chance.
She is the One who can touch your soul and shake it with abnormal skills. With her Georgia has great chance to prove again that it is the land of rich voice .
