At Eurovision 2013 he performed on home soil, unleashing one of the fiercest pyro rainstorms of the year.

And on Friday Sweden’s Robin Stjernberg was still making it “Rain” with his fantastic new single.

The catchy track is 100% on trend, combining elements of funk, soul and pop to great effect and showcasing Robin’s ever-stronger vocals. His voice soars over the polished production and inviting instrumental, creating what may be his finest track yet.

Buy the song on iTunes.

The 25-year-old singer is rightfully chuffed, writing on Twitter: “FINALLY! I’m so proud of this one. My new single Rain is OUT NOW!! Listen: “.

We listened — and we listened again and again and again!

It’s a song about love and loss and the fact love — like the seasons — comes and goes, though not always when we want it to.

“Umbrellas and booze, reminds me of you, ’cause you’re a summer rain,” he sings. “The city got cold and you let me know I couldn’t make you stay.”

We actually stumbled across the remix of the song before we heard today’s official release.

Robin teamed with Swedish remixer extraordinaire Didrick for the hit-the-dance-floor remix, which showcases Robin’s gorgeous falsetto in a whole new way.

The sentiment of the song remains the same, but the pulsating beat makes us want to move. We’ll listen to this version when we’ve had a few drinks…

Didrick recently collaborated with Amanda Fondell on his hit “Smoke”, which clocked nearly one million streams on Spotify.

If you’re looking to hear more of his work, consider his remix of Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman”, which surpassed 1.8 million streams on Spotify.

In any case, are you feeling Robin’s latest track as much as we are? Have you downloaded it yet? Let us know in the comments box below!
