At long last! Fans can finally buy Junior Eurovision 2016 tickets.
With a little over a week to go until the 20 November contest, organisers only released the tickets earlier today, 9 November.
Junior Eurovision 2016 tickets
In order to get your hands on one, you’ll need to visit and create an account on the Mediterranean Conference Centre website or call the ticketing hotline ( +356 25595750).
But make sure you’re sitting down, because tickets for this year’s event aren’t cheap.
Prices begin at €50 for standing and rise to €100 for seats in the dress area. Balcony seats are going for €75.
As of 15:30 CET, there appeared to be 387 tickets left out of 1,506.
Fans are promised a greater chance to participate and interact with this year’s show. The Mediterranean Conference Centre website reads:
The audiences will be spread throughout the Mediterranean Conference Centre and, at any one point, will be centre stage in the production. The Standing Audience in the Green Room will participate in the Red Carpet pre-show and warm-up, as well as have an up-close and personal view of a Red Carpet Experience – live, camera, action! The Green Room will also have satellite stages which will feature separate acts. These will be relayed into the main Auditorium.
Meanwhile the performances in the main auditorium will be featured to the Green Room where, the Standing Audience will be able to cheer on the participants. The main Auditorium will also have space for a standing Audience in front of the main Stage. Big screens will link the different parts of the MCC so the audiences will also be able to communicate with each other to make one big audience.
At €10, tickets for the green room and red carpet pre-show and warm-up are considerably cheaper. As of 15:30 CET, there appeared to be 295 tickets left out of 1,300.
There is no word yet as to when tickets for the jury show will be made available.
The Wiwi Jam, Malta
If all the above is too expensive, you could consider popping into the Wiwi Jam on Thursday 17 November.
Following on from our jam-packed, star-studded party in Stockholm during Eurovision 2016, we are ready to turn up the volume in Malta.
Tickets cost €10 and are available to buy on Eventbrite. The fun begins at 19.30 in Hard Rock Café Malta and a whole host of stars are set to perform.
THE WIWI JAM, MALTA: CONFIRMED ACTS (SO FAR)
Poli Genova — Eurovision 2016 star, former X Factor Bulgaria judge and a Junior Eurovision 2016 interval act — will headline our star-studded line-up. And she’s bringing LaTiDa, the amazing trio who also supported her at Eurovision 2016.
Former JESC winners Destiny Chukunyere, Gaia Cauchi and Vincenzo Cantiello will also perform, reminding us exactly how they won over Europe at the last three editions of the contest. They’ll be joined by Malta’s JESC 2014 star Federica Falzon, while Arianna from San Marino’s The Peppermints is also due to drop by.
Some of the most beloved veterans of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest will also be on hand to reprise their entries, serving local flavour and flair as they help celebrate the children. The MESC stars performing include: Christabelle, Claudia Faniello, Deborah C, Jasmine Abela, Jessika, Lyndsay Pace, Maxine Pace, Brooke, Davinia and Raquela.
Naturally we’ve extended an invite to all of this year’s Junior Eurovision stars. So far we can confirm Australia’s Alexa Curtis, Israel’s Tim & Shir, Malta’s Christina Magrin, Ukraine’s Sofia Rol, and Belarus’ Alexander Minenok. As an added bonus, Alex is bringing his Junior Eurovision 2015 pal Ruslan Aslanov.
That’s a lot of money for a kid’s choir concert.
Local elementary school’s like five bucks.
I guess they have to make up for not raking in the money from the televote?
How many tickets are there?
