International duo Günther & D’Sanz are competing in Finland’s Eurovision national final Uuden Musiikin Kilpailiu (UMK) 2017 with their song “Love Yourself”. The track is an infectious dance number and an ode to self-love.
Günther is the Swedish performance artist best known for his saucy 2004 hit “Ding Dong Song” and for his 2006 Melodifestivalen entry “Like Fire Tonight”. He’s teamed up with the Spanish-born R&B singer D’Sanz who now lives in Finland and competed on The Voice of Finland.
The duo have the song “Love Yourself”, which proclaims, “Love yourself and life will last forever/Love yourself and feel alright”.
And because Günther is involved, the song gets a little saucy. D’Sanz urges the listener to “Touch yourself and feel a little pleasure”. Well, if you insist!
At the heart of the song is a message of love — loving yourself and spreading your love to others. As Günther proclaims “I’ve been around the world and everywhere I go I spread love.”
