NOW this is one hell of a great song … all the elements I personally love into 3 minutes … soul, gospel and dubstep … This is dope! He is a great vocalist … almost like the male Sarah Dawn Finer. Bring it on man … this puts schalger and pop rubbish into a corner with an ease.
Hej Nano! Sigma and Rita Ora called, they’d like their song back.
@Denis: But do I think Ace can win the whole thing? Not this time, I’m afraid. That 4th semi alone (Jon Henrik, Wiktoria and Loreen) is as deadly as it gets. If not this year, she’ll have to hurry, because time may be running out for her (she’ll be 35 this year).
@Denis: Ace qualified 2nd (to Robin Bengtsson) in the 1st semi last year, but finished 3rd overall. Strangely enough, she qualified 2nd (to Oscar Zia) in the 3rd semi in 2014, and lost by 2 points overall. Given the quality of this year’s 1st semi, and her hard luck in trying to win a semi, she’ll probably qualify 2nd again (Nano’s song does sound intimidating). Whether she goes straight to the final or barely gets bumped to A.C. by Dinah or the newcomers remains to be seen. What they do on the stage will probably decide who stays and who… Read more »
So Nano was supposed to have the chorus of this Melfest season? The song doesn’t even have a proper chorus. Very disappointing, I do like the verses though.
@Denis
Personally I think she’ll make the final but probably in 2nd. Who would replace her because IMO none of the other songs are that worthy except Dinah Nah, but I doubt she’ll go through directly.
Like I said before Ace isn’t as popular in Sweden as she is here. So don’t be surprised if she only manages Andra Chansen, especially with a lesser song like this.
And to those who say it’s average, yes. The first semifinal is always the weakest. They like to keep the good songs in the 3rd and 4th semifinal. A winner will come from there.
None of the songs tonight will win!
@Ste
That must be an example of the Lithuanian sense of humour? Very good 😀
I’m afraid all of these songs are just average, especially for Melfest standards. Many of them would NQ in Lithuania’s NF.
But I am also really hoping Princess Charlotte, Princess Perrelli, does well tonight.
That clip was really nice, she sounds so gorgeous, it’s like a Disney movie song.
Yes yes yes !! 🙂
Hello Kyiv, this is Athens calling!
Yes, yes, yes, can we have your points please?!
You better HOLD ON, Kyiv, our TWELVE POINTS GO TO SWEDEN!!!!! 🙂
Where can I watch it live?
ROOTING FOR WILD CHILD AND HOLD ON !
Gooo Ace and Nano!
Show Eurovision really music! <3
Love from Belgium xoxo
If I know my country as well as I think I do, Ace and Nano will go direkt, and De Vet Du and Boris will go to andra chansen. Dinah will get 5th, Adrijana 6th, and Charlotte 7th. I’m like 90% sure
Ace’s song is awesome! Dinah and Nano would make great finalists as well.
Andrijana deserves my last spot in Andra Chansen.
The other three shouldn’t qualify.
Det Vet Du’s song is super catchy and fun, with great lyrics 😀
I’m really trying to understand the hype with Nano but I just cant. The song is SO boring and dull to me, the only possibly interesting thing about it is the instrumentals during the chorus when it starts to become fast. Is that why people like the song? Because I can’t find anything special about his voice or the song.
I hope that Ace and Dinah will go through to Stockholm 🙂
Wow, I do like the Ace Wilder track. It’s catchy.
@Xeph – careful, your ignorance is on full display. 😉
not very impressed all songs are a solid 6-8 point wise for me but nothing that makes me go wow, charlotte song is cute but doesn’t have the emotion needed in a ballad like this 6th for me, boris well its nice but not a winner 5th for me, Da Vet Du surprisingly my third fave of the lot its fun 3rd, dinah well I was waiting and waiting for the big wow moment didn’t come but i like it average pop song 2nd for me, Nano well I don’t get the hype its something I hear all the time… Read more »
Very glam entrants.
@Annalisa Ward I bet you don’t look ANY better.
After hearing the 2.30 minutes snippets: 1. Nano- Hold On: Gave me chills at some moments , it’s not perfect, but it is contemporary , touching and well produced. 8.5-9.0/10 2. Ace Wilder- Wild Child: I like the bipolar thing in this one. Really catchy and happy chorus. Ace is living up, I like it a lot. 8.0-8.5/10 3. Adrijana- Amare: Really good, contemporary RnB-pop. Nice vibes and I enjoy this being in Swedish. 8.0-8.5/10 4. Dinah Nah- One More Night: A bit dissapointed. Doesn’t have the bang that Make Me had. Still a danceable tune and will give an… Read more »
Ace Wilder and Nano straight to the final. I also like Adrijana, and maybe Dinah. Anyway we should wait to watch them live.
Nothing great in this semi. Maybe Boris if I had to choose? A lot of disappointments.
I’m sorry but nano looks like a fat golem. had to be said
@The greatest
Why don’t you just at me next time boo instead of making it obvious. Nano is a DELIBERATE copy though, honestly the voice and the entire production sounds exactly like something they’d produce themselves. It’s an entire lack of originality, at least the other 6 have some elements of originality.
Ace Wilder is the best that happend this ESC season this far.
The most are pretty good though.
Amare and Wild Child based on these. The others shouldn’t even be going to Andra chansen.
DE VET DU
Nano’s song is good but like all Swedish Eurovision songs it’s void of soul and emotion and clearly made to grip somebody in those 3 minutes but it got no lasting appeal.
Nano reminds me a lot of rudimental.
Ace and Nano – Direkt till finalen
Dinah and Adrijana – Andra Chansen
Sozz Boris, Charlotte and Det Vet Du you must leave the competition, sachet away
This semifinal is really good!
My prediction:
Final for Ace Wilder and Nano
Andra Chansen for Dinah Nah and Adrijana
Me and my family are going to vote for Nano!!! 🙂 Greetings from Sweden.
Love when people say a song is a copy of a bunch of songs at the same time! LOL
That is what’s called a genre…a song can be placed in a genre because songs in that genre sounds similar :-p
Just sayin…
BEHÖVER DIN AMARE AMAREEE YAAAASS
I really hoooope Adrijana goes to Andra chansen, the song slays, and I’m not even a fan of swedish rap.
Nano and Ace will surely go DTF, didn’t like the 1 minute and 30 second rehearsal before but hearing almost the full song changed my mind about Wild Child while Hold On got me a little dissapointed, Hold On will not win Melfest for sure.
Ace = deserves direkt till final.
Dinah Nah = deserves direkt till final.
Adrijana = deserves Andra Chansen.
De Vet Du = probably will get Andra Chansen.
Boris = it’s catchy but I still strongly dislike it.
Nano = overrated, overhyped and literally a copy of Sigma, James Bay, Rag n Bones. SMH.
Charlotte Perrelli = cute but will flop hard.
Im voting for Adrijana tonight! The best along with Nano for me 🙂
Nano is definetely the best in this bunch. But based on the song I can’t hear a winner of Melodifestivalen because the song feels a bit repeatative sometimes. Nano and then I don’t care if it’s Ace, Dinah or Boris taking the other spot in the final.
@MTD – Careful, your jealousy is showing.. 🙂
@Candy – I am perfectly healthy. And you should check the Swedish facts before calling someone sick. 😉
MTD. U SICK…
Charlotte’s song is ok for me.
OMG, Dinah Nah’s song is amazing! She has to win. Ace should qualify too. Nano is overrated.
Ace and Dinah are my favourites.
Oh, this unfolded as a pathetic thing.
Nano’s song is kinda rip-off from “Coming home”, yeah, the one current hit played nowadays. Ts, ts, ts…
Well, Sweden has a track record of “copy-paste” songs, even a winner song *cough*Mans*cough…so, I am not that surprised.
Oh, the almighty Sweden, copy-pasting tunes and stuff. LOL
I still like Ace, Nano, and Dina the most, hopefully all 3 of them move on. I don’t believe there’s a winner among any of these songs however.
Well we know for sure know that Nano will win semifinal 1! Ace wilders song reminds me of something you’d hear in barnkanalen (a channel for kids here in Sweden) so I hope that one doesn’t qualify
Rooting for “Hold On” and “Her Kiss”. Hoping that they’ll qualify tonight
