wiwibloggs eurovision 2017 ticket contest
wiwibloggs eurovision 2017 ticket contest

No tickets to Eurovision 2017? No problem! No flights and no hotel room? That’s no problem either!

The team from wiwibloggs, together with our app developers BeePost, are ready to make euro-dreams come true for one of our deserving readers (and a friend of his or her choosing). We’ve saved up our spare change and are giving away a trip for two to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Ukraine. That’s round-trip airfare, that’s two nights in a hotel and that’s tickets to the Eurovision grand final jury final (May 12) or the Eurovision grand final live show (May 13).

How do I win the tickets to Eurovision 2017?

I’m so glad you asked! Just download the brand new wiwibloggs app, available in the Apple Store and Google Play.

Then click on the WIN STUFF section. Using the video comments feature, record yourself explaining why YOU deserve to go to Eurovision. Win us over with your humour, make us cry with your moving story, or just keep it real and tell us why you slay in a way others don’t. Anything goes! (But keep it clean — we’ll be deleting any and all inappropriate videos).

How is the winner picked?

We’ll close the contest on 11 April 2017 at 00:01 GMT (so really late on April 10). wiwibloggs will shortlist up to 10 candidates based upon the number of “honey drops” they receive from fellow users and reviews from our in-house panel of editors.

The videos from shortlisted candidates will then be presented to an outside panel of Eurovision celebrities, who will decide on the winner.

What’s the catch?

There is no catch, but there are some rules. Unfortunately you must be 18 years or older to enter.

In addition to the two Eurovision tickets and the two-night hotel stay, the prize covers flights from Europe and other participating nations outside of Europe (so, for instance, Israel). Unfortunately we cannot cover flights from the participating nation of Australia, or from other far-flung destinations like the United States, Mexico and South Africa. I gotta pay my mortgage, y’all!

However, if you’re from outside of Europe and can get yourself to Europe, we can fly you from a European city to the contest. Everyone — from anywhere in the world — can enter if they can get themselves to Europe.

But that’s enough blabbing from us. We can’t wait to watch your videos and hear your stories. We’ve already seen a few and they’re moving, hilar, sweet and tender. We love you all.

Sucks that you don’t include airfare from your own home country of USA, William! You do realize that WIWIBLOGGS and ESC have lots of fans in America, right?

If you do another contest for 2018 and beyond, you should have BEEPOST or another company sponsor it, incl. adding all the legal jargon for the USA. Then, all fans can enter to win.

It’s great that you guys are making an app! The display of the blog was not so great on mobile phone. However, I can’t find the Wiwibloggs app on the Apple Store yet, am I the only one (UK store)?

On Ireland: Brendan Murray’s Instagram is teasing a reveal, but there has been ZERO news on this from The Late Late Show. Typical.

I know this is so off topic but is the Irish entry being revealed tonight on the late late show?

I can’t imagine Eurovision or watching Eurovision without wiwibloggs. Thank you for all that you do. Or as you would say, “keep on slaying!” haha. Love you.

Yes that would be quite embarrassing if someone from Australia or New Zealand won the competition and then there wasn’t enough budget for the flight costs! Haha!! Glad that was cleared up. 😀
