As in the two previous weeks of competition, the Melodifestivalen 2017 artists had a chance to perform their entries in front of a live audience on Friday evening ahead of Saturday’s semifinal. Once again Sweden’s Melodifestivalklubben ran their audience exit poll, where they asked the departing fans which act they liked the most — this time ahead of Semi-Final 3 in Växjö.
Idol alum Robin Bengtsson won the vote in a landslide. The singer with piercing blue eyes, who opens the show with “I Can’t Go On”, earned 37.1% of the 615 votes.
Proving he knows how to innovate, he’s trying something new on stage — or should we say off of it? He doesn’t appear on the stage at all during the first 45 seconds. But it’s clearly working for him and he has emerged as the big favourite to win tomorrow’s semi-final.
In second place is Melfest debutant Jasmine Kara — who is as pretty as a Barbie doll but has a voice stronger than steel!
The audience may not know who she is yet, but this diva still managed to win them over. Jasmine already has a long career behind her — with two studio albums and plenty of singles to her name. And maybe she will finally make her big breakthrough at Melfest 2017.
Only three votes behind are Felix, Oscar & Omar — or FO&O (the boyband formerly known as the Fooo Conspiracy). This boy band were forced to rebrand themselves when they lost one member, but they still have their fans. The trio will end the show with a bang, as they will be flying over the audience on a platform. Eric Saade also used this prop with “Sting” in 2015.
Anton Hagman would be the last act the audience of tonight’s rehearsal would save. This YouTube star is now ready to launch his music career and is doing it with “Kiss You Goodbye”. Anton stands on the stage alone, but his charisma was enough to make 72 people name him as their favourite tonight.
That means 87-year-old Owe Thörnqvist, upcoming folk duo Bella & Filippa and Eurovision 2013 star Krista Siegfrids would be sent home. Krista — who debuted at Melodifestivalen last year — finished last in the audience poll. Let’s hope the audience at home will send more votes on her way!
Melodifestivalklubben emphasize that the audience in the dress rehearsals are mainly families. Just like the actual show, the rehearsal also includes the winners reprising their songs on stage in front of the audience. The results are completely fake, but they might have affected the result. This week Robin Bengtsson and Anton Hagman were randomly selected as the winners, while Jasmine Kara had some technical issues during her performance and she had to start over.
Do you think this might be the result we see tomorrow? You can still also vote for your own favourite(s) in our poll!
Audience poll results: Deltävling 3, Växjö
- 1. Robin Bengtsson – “I Can’t Go On” 37.1% (228 votes)

I dont like Robin. Hes eyes öook scary
The audience polls have been pretty accurate before, so I think the final result will look similar to this.
Robin and Jasmine have good decent pop songs, I understand why they are favourites. Good songs too
F&OO? aren’t good live but they might still surprise. Ove is good but novelty acts rarely do well. Krista’s genre isn’t just very succesfull. She might find it hard to break through with that genre.
Why aren’t people voting for cutie pie? If he was Anton Hung-man these people would have voted for him.Stupid swedes!! 🙁
Really? Krista and Owe are the only ones that stand out for me. Robin and FO&O have typical pop songs. If this is the result, then Mariette is the only act in the final which I can say I really like so far.
There is always semi 4, but I can already say that while still most spectacular, I don’t find Melodifestivalen the strongest NF this year.
I’m imagining Loreen dropping the f-bomb when she makes her “Statement” next week. That would be hilarious!!
Seriously, there are so many other things to react to in this world.
Robin has a very good pop song with a performance that is well made and suitable for the song. So I’m not surprised. It’s not sleazy, but cool. It could easily be a song and performance that some other country could send to eurovision :DD and people would think it’s the best chance for that country to send :DD But he won’t win Melodifestivalen I think. But I’m sure Robin has a hit in general and will be well played on Spotify. The f-word is not needed though. They could easily have replaced it with some other word. FO&O are… Read more »
This reminds me of a HIMYM episode.Robyn meets a guy and introduces herself as Robyn. So the guy says oh the bird. Then Robyn says its robin with a y.And the guy says-oh so its yobin. I laughed so hard my neighbours ended up knocking thinking I had a manic attack.

Krista and Jasmine are the ones I am most excited to hear in full tomorrow!
ROFL!! 😀
(It’s because her version of the name comes up as predictive text on my phone, and I forgot to click the alternate spelling!! It’s not the first embarrassing mistake I have made with Robyn – I hope she’ll forgive me!)
@Purple Mask
I don’t think Robyn will appreciate that you called her a sleaze or a F-bomber.She seems like a sweetheart to me.
P.S. I know it was a typo
Robin! Not Robyn!! Typos be gone!
I feel sad for Krista!! Hope she fares better tmrw……coz this is the weakest semi and if she can’t make it out of this one then her hopes in Sweden in the future too are slim.
Ahh, that’s very interesting.
A bit of a “slap in the face” to FO&O from Wiwibloggers I see! 😀
My favourite is Jasmine so I hope she does well.
I see we all like Robyn’s sleazy F-bombing!! Hahaha…
