Given all of the fan support behind Raiven — who lost last year’s final by just 127 votes — it seems like producers are saving the best for last. She’s won over plenty of new fans with her avant-garde electro ballad and she now has the honour of closing the show. Is this hers for the taking?
The final of EMA 2017 starts at 19:55 CET and will be co-hosted by the quartet of Tina Gorenjak, Maja Martina Merljak, Tanja Kocman and Mario Galunic. Guest performances for the final include last year’s Eurovision winner Jamala, Croatia’s 1994 Eurovision representative Tony Cetinski and last year’s EMA winner ManuElla.
A 50/50 combination of the televoting public and six regional juries will decide the winner of EMA 2017. Slovenia have been allocated to perform in the second half of the first semi-final at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest on 9 May.
Who are you rooting for at the final of EMA 2017? Who will follow into ManuElla’s footsteps as Slovenia’s Eurovision representative? Let us know in the comments section below!
Hey! Will I be able to livestream it outside Slovenia.? Is any livestream link available? Or should I get an app?
Raiven’s song has a great story, but for you is the problem that you do not understand slovene. Why is she like ”discoball”? Because her song is about ligt!
here is (probably bad) translation od hers song before she turned into ”light”:
each beam is brighter when you turn off the lights… and in chorus she is singing ZAŽARIM wich means i glow, or i shine (there is no better word for that in english)
P.S. she will sing in english if she win EMA. 😉
Raiven is really overrated. Her song doesn’t even have melody. I know she is a fantastic singer, but i don’t remember her song at all. She deserves better song.
“Blue And Red” was (and still is) my least favorite entry of 2016, so whatever Slovenia sends, it’ll be better.
Rooting for BQL, Raiven or Nika.
Nika or Raiven for the win!
Whatever they choose, it will be better than last year. Actually my dishwasher sounds better than last year’s entry.
Heeart of gold can win eurovision 2017
I am still waiting on a reaction to the both semi-finals on youtube and I can not find it. Please make one. Thank you very much.
raiven! stunning staging
Omar Naber has it all. The song is really good and well composed. Omar has done a great job with creating his own music again. Also, I’d like to see him return to Kyiv, where he made me fall in love with him and his song Stop (in my top 10 fave ESC songs ever).
OFF TOPIC: Lina Kuduzovi? from Junior Eurovision 2015 decided to participate on “The Voice Kids” in Germany.

OMAR NABER !!!!!
For me best 3
1.Nika
2.Omar
3.Nuska
But I think fight wili be between BQL and Raiven if we have 2 superfinalist
3 rd wili be Nika 4 th Omar…..
They try so hard to win BQL better copy of UK 2016.
This is a stunning final line-up. Slovenia has a lot to be proud of.
I am looking forward to Slovenia’s national final. Good job, you can actually choose from a bunch of decent entries. Not great, BUT decent, which is all I one can hope for in a national pre-selection. I’d go with BQL. The brothers have an enjoyable song, work very well together on stage, have steady live vocals and are pleasant to watch. Otherwise, I’d go with a revamped and considerably stronger Nika Zorjan (pink seems to be a very popular hair color for Slovenian women). I really wanted to like Nuska Drascek’s entry because she is such a fierce performer but… Read more »
My 3 faves are: Nika, BQL, and Raiven. Would love to see a Slovenian language song in Kyiv. Anyway, very impressed with the quality of the artists and staging in EMA. Puts many others to shame! 🙂
What I read in media and on social plattforms it will be a close race between Raiven, Nika and BQL in the Televoting, but I think the juries will be rude to Nika and BQL, especially to Nika. I think Raiven will win or Omar if he has luck with the televoting
I must admit that I really like ‘Open Fire’. If only it was performed by another artist… To me, Tim lacks charisma, which cannot be replaced by over-straining when singing (though it is a hard song to sing) – he’s not the most pleasant performer to watch…
Fse or Heart of Gold for me. I think it will be between Nika, BQL and Raiven. Raiven’s song doesn’t really appeal to me as it does with a lot of fans here.
Fse, On My Way and Heart of Gold would all be fantastic entries. When will Denmark? 😉
