Kyiv is going to need a dollhouse! Denmark’s run of two non qualifications in a row would be be bad enough for any country. But after their victory in 2013, and their top 10 on home soil in 2014, the Danes are seriously out of luck. With no traditional boy bands at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (DMGP 2017) this year, will that be enough to prevent Denmark from another semifinal crash? We asked y’all for your opinions on the ten songs Denmark has to offer.

Through the last week you cast a total of 1,865 votes. Living doll Sada Vidoo emerged as the winner with 532 votes, with her song “Northern Lights”. Will Denmark follow the lights tonight and send them east to Kyiv?

In second place and just 100 votes behind is last year’s runner up, Anja Nissen. The winner of The Voice of Australia received just over 23% (432 votes) in our poll, with her song “Where I Am”. Will she improve on last year’s result and go on to represent Denmark?

Rounding out the top three is Ida Una with her entry “One”. The 19 year old YouTube singer took 244 votes in total. Following her in fourth place is Thomas Ring, with his song “Vesterbro”. The only Danish language song in the selection, he received 199 votes, just under 11% of the overall vote.

The grand final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is on from 20:00 CET tonight. The show will be held at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning and is hosted by Annette Heick and former Lighthouse X singer Johannes Nymark. We’ll be there with full coverage on the ground. You’ll be able to follow the show live here.

Who should represent Denmark in Kyiv? Is Sada Vidoo your favourite, or is it Anja Nissen’s year? Share your feelings in the comment section and on our wiwibloggs app!

I am bummed hearing Sada is out now, but I guess good luck to Anja, Johanna and Ida now. All 3 songs are nice, but now I don’t see Denmark being in my top 10. Oh, well…

This has been a great final from Denmark. I’m a big fan of Sada Vidoo, but Anja Nissen was so outstanding. I also liked Ida, Calling Mercury and Johanna. I wish they could all win together! Haha.

Anja just SLAYED this selection. Incredible vocals!

Anja won The Voice Australia, not X Factor.

Unlike most other gimmicky performers, Sada comes with a “serious” song, which makes things different. Still predicting Anja, although not certain about anything.

Please not the doll. She was unbearable to watch on X Factor. Denmark should pick Ida or Anja

I wasn’t a fan prior to the snippets, but now I’m definitely rooting for Sada!

Good luck to all the artists.
Hopefully Denmark will see the light tonight and stop country-blocking viewers from other countries!

@Marc – Sada IS very charismatic on stage, but I believe it’s a strong entry nonetheless.

Sada must be really charismatic on stage, otherwise Denmark is not qualifying again this year. Such a weak generic song

Anja, Ida or Anthony for me.

If Denmark want a strong shot at the final, then Sada Vidoo is the way to go.
