Eurovision-Spain

Spring is firmly in the air, national finals are over and that can only mean one thing: the Eurovision pre-parties season is on! Kicking off on March 25, it’s Riga providing some Baltic realness in The Crystall Club Concert Hall. But, all you hungry fans know this year’s events include IsraelLondon, Amsterdam and Moscow.

However, guess which other city has joined – for the first time – the exciting and glamorous season of Eurovision celebrations? Let’s give a warm welcome to Madrid!

As Rosa López sung in 2002, “Europe’s Living a Celebration”. Well that will finally be possible in Spain ahead of Eurovision itself. Our friends at Eurovision-Spain are holding one of the most requested events ever for Spanish fans. The pre-party takes place on April 15, in the iconic Sala La Riviera in Madrid.

Nine acts have been announced so far, and what a line up it is:

  • Slavko Kalezic (Montenegro)
  • Alma (France)
  • Kasia Mos (Poland)
  • Martina Bárta (Czech Republic)
  • Tamara Gachechiladze (Georgia)
  • Nathan Trent (Austria)
  • Ilinca feat. Alex Florea (Romania)
  • Sunstroke Project (Moldova)
  • Imri (Israel)

Those are the acts confirmed so far. The party is still three weeks away, so we’re sure there will be more acts joining! Say Yay, y’all!

Madrid’s first Eurovision party – April 15 at Sala La Riviera

Settled on the banks of the Manzanares River and surrounded by magical gardens and parks, Sala La Riviera has a 1,800 people capacity. That’s about 18 times bigger than the stage was for Objetivo Eurovisión — just saying!

The party is part of Eurovision-Spain.com’s 16th anniversary celebration – being the most visited Spanish Eurovision site ever. In Spain, media including ABC, La Vanguardia, Je Ne Sais Pop, Formula TV or Bluper are already promoting this event. It’s looking set to turn the house down! ¡Vámonos!

After the concert, a DJ session with Eurovision music hits will close this unforgettable night. And that’s what Eurovision-Spain is also wanting to accomplish, the possibility to bring this special event every year and turn it to a big Eurovision celebration. Let’s do this!

Of course, the team at wiwibloggs will be on the ground to get you the footage of all the performances, as well as interviews with the stars.

The show starts at 22:00 CET, but you can get there before as doors will be open from 21:00 CET.

Warm up: Eurovision-Spain Pre-pre-party on Friday!

Yes, you read that right. The Pre-party isn’t just a one-day party. Eurovision-Spain.com took it to another level, bigger, louder and better. Welcome to a weekend party!

That’s why, on Friday 14 there will be a Welcome Party in the classic Joy Eslava in Madrid. Up to 10 artists from Spain – related to Eurovision – will hit the stage and open this big Eurovision celebration.

Among the confirmed stars are strong>Brequette, Fruela and Mey Green (backing vocalist for Spain’s 2012, 2013 and 2014 entries). They will be singing their hits to a joyful and excited audience. But there’s more artists to be announced, so stay tuned for more info.

Tickets

Tickets for both parties are still available. For the Welcome Party (April 14) you can purchase your ticket right here at a price of 15 €. For the Eurovision Spain Pre Party (April 15), the only tickets still available are the general ones which have a price of 30€ and can be purchased here, or in person in every Correos or Agencias de Viajes El Corte Ingles office.

Are you glad to see Madrid holding the first Eurovision Pre Party in Spain? Will you be joining? Let us know in the comments section below!

@Purple
Well, I didn’t say that guy was you 😛

You could Congratulate Manel on destroying his Career in Spain and maybe give him a piece of my mind but be ready to get the finger in return then. 😐

@rigged: Erm, I’m still reading, y’know. 😉
For Manel not to be invited to his own national party (assuming that it might be the case) would be very sad, but understandable given the circumstances. But then Madrid might be just taking their time?
By the way, is there anything you wish me to say to Manel next weekend? 😀

@Darren
Manel and his corruption will not be welcomed by the Spanish Eurofans!!
No wonder he’s spent most of his time after winning stuck up in his home or outside spain!! 😡

Again…no Ireland!!!! I say it every year that Ireland should attend these promo parties as these are we’re the fan bases are formed.

Ugh! RTE sicken me!

This looks like it’s going to be great though, Eurofever is strong in Spain and Madrid is such a beautiful city. Kind of strange that Manel isn’t there.

@Mar (and anyone else who wants to know about Riga):
So far announced at Riga are Triana Park (Latvia), Naviband (Belarus), Kasia Mos (Poland), Martina Barta (Czechia), Jowst (Norway), and special guests Justs (Latvia 2016) and Ruslana (Ukraine 2004). That’s all so far.

Kinda weird to make an article of a pre party three weeks away but barely mention the one that’s happening the day after tomorrow. Who is going to Riga? And is the Moscow party still happening? I would imagine not.

Spain has the most passionate fans. They deserve better than what RTVE gives to them. I’m glad they have their Europarty.
