Lindita Halimi will sing “World” — a ballad with a subtle rock edge — at the Eurovision Song Contest. But this Kosovar beauty has more tricks up her always turned-out sleeve.
As she prepares for promotional gigs all over Europe, she’s managed to write, record and release “NOW” — a follow-up to her 2017 Eurovision entry….before Eurovision 2017 even starts!
Speaking exclusively to wiwibloggs, the US-based Albanian beauty explained the origins of the song.
“It all started with me being playful in the studio. We were supposed to work on something else — then I pop outside for a phone call. During the chat, I hear all these bumping beats in different studio rooms, and I asked the producer to create that party vibe. He said, ‘Oh, is that what you want now?’ Right there on the spot he created the beat and moments later I wrote the hook, ‘OKAY, OKAY, YOU REALLY REALLY DIDN’T KNOW ME BUT YOU KNOW ME NOW.'”
The track may be adult, but it connects with younger audiences. The video concept remains a secret at this stage, but we’ll be sure to tease some more information out of Lindita when we catch up with her during her promo tour.

Lindita can blow her own trumpet, toot her own horn, sing her praises, play the nymphet or the hoe from the hood in the name of the art of self-promotion, but ‘World’ is not a game changer for Albania.
I’m sorry, but this song is too monotone and boring. Her beautiful voice is lost in autotune. I don’t like this. I get her point, but she deserves better production.
