A ball of light running around in an empty building. A coffin lying at the bottom of a river. A gorilla dancing with a barefoot man. The Eurovision 2017 artists have outdone themselves in terms of mind-blowing imagery in their music videos. So now it’s time for you to pick the best music video, based on originality, cinematography, acting, and overall awesomeness. Who will follow in the footsteps of Iveta Mukuchyan, whom you chose as winner of best music video in 2016?
We are not including videos of the live performances here — just the official music videos that the artists have produced outside of their selections. As is the case every year, there isn’t an official music video for every entry. Some will land after the poll is published, but don’t fret: we will add them to the count as soon as they’re released. (We’re looking at you, Romania!)
You’ll have a month to vote for the best music video in the poll below, so there is plenty of time for making your mind up. Until then, let’s meet the contenders in the playlist below!
WHO HAS THE BEST MUSIC VIDEO AT EUROVISION 2017?
Remember, this is not about the singer not the song. You need to consider the cinematography, the story, the visual concept, the execution and production values, as well as the artists’ acting abilities. So who will it be?
You can vote for as many videos as you like, but you can only vote ONCE, so be sure to click the box next to each act you want to support before pressing submit. We’ll close this poll on the 8th of May, one day before the Eurovision Song Contest kicks off in Kyiv with the First Semi-Final.
After you cast your vote, you can defend your choice in the comments box below and on the wiwibloggs app!
