This year at the Eurovision Song Contest, Lithuania will be represented by Fusedmarc. The electropop band rather convincingly won Eurovizijos atranka 2017 and to earn their tickets to Kyiv.
This Vilnius-based group comprises Viktorija Ivanovskaja, the lead vocalist; Denisas Zujevas, the guitarist and main songwriter; and Stasys Žakas, their visual, video and music producer. However, only Viktorija and Denisas will appear on stage.
Their entry “Rain of Revolution” was composed by Viktorija and Denisas with the help of Michail Levin. The latter two also wrote the lyrics of the song.
“Rain of Revolution” is a track that mixes electronic music with big band sound. Viktorija’s powerful vocals fit this anthem of a revolutionary love perfectly.
The opening verses “Life like roller coaster / Spinning me around /Breathing getting faster / When I’m upside down” are an appropriate introduction for an electro-drama this song gradually evolves into.
The singer encourages her paramour to use the power of love to break the rules and start a revolution, “Figuring out meaning of love / Breaking the rational views and narrow limits.”
